5  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / FC Side Mirror for passenger door on: April 28, 2004, 02:57:03 AM
Hi, I am looking to buy a mirror (original) to put on the passenger side door.  In order to re-do our roadworthy on the FC Ute (which is for sale) we need to have a mirrior on the drivers side and passengers side (Victorian Road Rules apparently).

I am in Melbourne and am willing to buy and pay shipping.  Call Andrea on 03 9395 1447.  Thanks.
6  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Tuning problem on: August 29, 2002, 08:58:10 PM
Thanks Harco & CrisB

Harco
Vacume can not be a problem - steel line from carby to dizzy - and no, I did not touch the carby.

CrisB
I will try your suggestion and reinstall the dizzy EXACTLY as per book, (as this has worked for your hot starting problem).

I can see how valve timing can be out if teeth are misaligned, however if the dizzy is out by one tooth can this not be compensated for by rotation of the dizzy when tuning, ie. you are moving the body in relation to the dizzy cap hence obtaining correct firing. Huh

7  General / General Board / Re: Installing seat belts on: November 30, 2000, 01:00:00 PM
Hi Michael, Back in the early days of this discussion page someone wrote on how to do seat belts without your car have frankenstien bolts protruding out the pillars. I had my FB done in this manner by the local mechanic and they turned out great. From memory get a small strip of steel (dont know dimensions or thickness)weld a nut to it that suits the seat belt bolt. Cut a slot on the inside of the pillar just big enough to insert the strip and bolt, it is an idea to tie something to the strip until it is inplace. Align it in place and weld in. Presto. That is my memory, I am sure someone could give you some more detail, dimensions and put it into a more readable version. Cheers Andy
8  General / General Board / Fuel Pump a bit suss? on: June 21, 2000, 12:00:00 PM
I've just put a new fuel tank in my FB (the old one had rusted out. It's not a great fit as it was an EK tank, so if anyone has a tank in the Sydney area please e-mail. Anyway I think the fuel pump could be a bit suss but not sure if it is a leak in the circuit (Does that matter) or could it be worn out? How do you tell?  Any sugestions appreciated.
