Maybe the real thing is out there somewhere, however,
I bought a $6.95 one. It was ajustable, had sereral bolts included for various models of cars. I then sellected two of the bolts, ground them down until they fitted the through the holes, bent them at 90 degrees and it's works great. Hope this helps.

I know of a chap who runs a 327 chev in his FC. Nice job too. I also think there are quite a few in the Queensland FE FC club who run V8's.

My sinceere thanks to the people with emails I received in support of my request for help to fit door rubbers to my FC.

After spending a lot of frustrating hours and money I stumbled on the exact profile of the origonal FC door & boot rubber  in a foam & rubber store on Queenslands Gold Coast. Perfect fit.

Well fatboy...... where to start. Most guys out there r probably saying oh der, becos if u know anything about early Holdens, this is practically the most common change made, and usually the first thing most owners do. Anyway, I'm asumming u just dont know so I'm gonna help u out. Ok, well the most common change over method for what u wanna do is this.....
You start by rippin out ur old motor (old greys are getting rare these days, so if uv got a good 1 & uv got room, keep it) and gear box as one unit. Drop ur front end out and replace it with a HR front end. They bolt straight in, the only real changes r in the brakes ul need to do ur homework here if ur changing to disks. Its not hard, but source ur parts well beforhand. While ur at it, its not hard to fit the HR column, that way doin it all at once. The column fits well and sits about an inch or 2 closer to the dash. As the HR ran red motors the engine mounts r in the right place for ur 202. use the old thermostat housing from the grey and u can use the original radiator. Alot of people use Torana diffs, & there r some other models too, but some may need to have the mounts cut off and the right ones welded on. If money is an option, u can change just the motor only. So u can keep everything else including the old 3 speed (yes it does bolt up, been there done that). You can keep the original kingpin front end, but keep in mind u'l need to weld on some engine mounts, as greys mounts r at the front not on the sides. U may also have to do ur home work about needing an engineers cert. as this is necc in some states, and sometimes in order to get one u may need to make the other mods I first mentioned. As the original 3 spd is a not syncro 1st(crunch box) some guys drop in a 3spd HQ box, this gives u synchro 1st and still gives u a column shift pattern.

you can run lots of different mags on ur car with standard suspension. But keep the following in mind: 1. The stud pattern is 5/108. a pretty rare pattern. This is the same pattern for all Holdens pre HQ, and is the same as Torana. The ONLY other car in the world with the same pattern is early Volvo. 2. you can squeeze 7" wide wheels under, but dont go to huge with the tyres. as clearance can b a bit tight, especially on the front. 3. If u want to go to 15" wheels u would be better off staying with 6" wide so u can get a set that u can rotate from front to rear when u need to.  4. Running 7" may mean the front offset may have to differ to rear offset to get the clearance u need. 5. If ur running a kingpin front end u will have a better chance of a wide wheel by going to 15" or even 16" wheels as the opening in the back of the wheel will then clear the kingpin. 6. another option is to go to 14" wheels, HK,T,G, 14" fit and give the right clearance. Performance Wheels make a range that fit, as do Centerline and Simmons. There r a few nice wheels in the range but they tend to b very 80's looking, and rather than adding class they tend to make ur rebuild (or styling) look dated. I recommend the following: Find a wheel manufacturer such as Ajax wheels in Moorabbin, Victoria. They can make a wheel that uses the HG 14" centre, they then add a 15" x 7" "drop centre" band. The wheel is now a classic steel wheel in 15x7. Paint them black (or Red). Put on a 15" crome trim ring, add a nice chrome hubcap (HK looks nice), a set of White walls and u have a classic look that will never date, and u get ur 15's. howdy could anyone out there please tell me what jetting they would run on a  mild grey with a shaved head, 202valves, mild cam and headers. also, could anyone recommend a good oil filtration system. thanks heaps garry
