Cheers guys!!

Yeah, I have had my FC ute for about 2 years and haven't had time to do anything on it. Bought it as is off a family friend for $5,000. Has been sitting in his shed since last registered in 1991.

Took us about 5 hours to get him running. Had to cut a new gasket out and fix the idle. The pin or screw was missing from the accelerator arm that attaches to the inlet, so we used a bit of wire to reattach it for now hahaha! had to replace a leaking master cyclinder, clean out the brake lines and sanded out the rust in the drum brakes.

I tell you what though....he starts first time, everytime. Drives beautifully and still got the grunt to do burnouts!!  Grin Grin Grin

Going to strip him back and give him a good clean up and then dress him up a bit. Get him into good shape. Got a bit of steel wool onto the chrome parts, works pretty well for now haha

Interior is as such...

And I didnt realise how much space is wasted in the tray!!

Peace,

Lio

Thanks Stinky!

With the horn ring, how does it pop out? are there a certain number of clips i need to pop it out? I tried levering it off with a flathead but didnt want to break anything.

Cheers,

SCARFACE

So, I have a 1957 Holden FC Ute that I am doin up.
His name is Scarface for the reason it looks pretty mean when it sits in the shed at night and the colours it will be painted.

I have hit some barriers so far but have overcome some of them. I still have a few problems which I need help with. Below is a list of questions I have....

1. How do I remove the middle part of my steering wheel? Like the horn ring or whatever it is?
2. My screws for my door hinges are really tight....what ways can I remove them without drilling them?
3. What is the best way to remove the shell from the chassis?
4. Can you change the generator for an alternator and are there any complications or downfalls?

Thanks guys!!
