Well its time to sell my FE Holden. Its a sad day but its time to move on!

I have been the second owner brought the old girl 17 years ago.

The car still runs like a treat but its time for someone to restore her back
to her former glory.

Reconditioned Original grey motor
Bottom end rebuilt.
New pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets
Reconditioned head
Now running on standard unleaded fuel. [I often top it up with some lead replacement
just to be nice but my mechanic swears I don't need to]

Finally replaced the wiper motor with a Castlemaine Electrics 12 volt wiper conversion
[should have done that years ago it now works fantastic!]

Orginal untouched paint work

Although floor was replaced 10 years ago, due to leaking windscreen rubber, rust has
returned near front doors.
Rust is quite extensive in most doors. Front fenders in good condition.

Orginal upholstery

Orginal gear lever steering lock

Bumper bar over riders

Front and rear crome number plate surround

All orginal chrome mouldings

Orginal Brighton Motors decal on lefthand side of dash

Has been regularly serviced by the same garage for the last 17 years.

Although the old girl is gone a little rusty I can honestly say this car drives like a dream!
For an old car its really reliable.

Asking price is $5000

The car is currently registered but due to the rust I will have to sell her without a roadworthy.
I'm more than happy to transfer the rights of the number plates over to the buyer for an extra
$500

The orginal number plates are GTS097

I hope to have some photos as soon as I can get someone to help me load them.

Hi I'm a first timer to the Ballarat Swap meet

Does anyone know if you have to book a site to sell a car
at the swap meet?

A bit last miunte I know but could have been a good chance
to sell the FE.

Apparently no more sites available but couldn't get much
info about this event.

Can I just park the car with a sale sign on it? or do I need
a site to be able to do that?

Any info from past visitors would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys

I have owned my FE for 17 years now and along the way have had
many comments on the orginal number plates that start with GTS
followed by the normal 3 numbers.

Many people have commented that these number plates may be
worth some money.

I have never took much notice of this untill recently when I was thinking
of selling the car. Jumped on to some number plate websites and found
similiar plates selling for 3000 - 4000 dollars and nearly fell of the chair.

Does anyone know if this sounds right, could plates really sell for this much?

Do you think GTS fans would really pay a ridiculous amount of money
for a number plate?

If anyone has some thoughts please let me know.

And a question for FE owners would you prefer to buy a FE with these
plates? Thought I might get some more money selling them seperate
but would feel better selling the plates with the FE because to me it just
wouldn't look the same without the old plates.

But maybe I'm just being too sentimental!

Hi Guys

woke up the other morning and found someone had smashed one of my door windows.

Just not sure where to start. Is this easy to replace? Do I have to find an old piece of
glass?

Its the front passenger side door that has been smashed on my FE.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
