You could say I've been under a rock, I had no reason to keep up with the latest as I had an engineer organised. I now realise why he retired ...all too much.
It appears I may have to use a Victorian engineer, but please let me know of any in the south coast area, or any in victoria. travelling a distance is no concern as I have gone too far with it to stop, any help would be very much appreciated.

I have just found out my local engineer has retired, leaving me in a quandry, the job is 95 % finished and I'll be needing one soon. I live on the far south coast of NSW and have a victorian address I can use.
Can any body help and recommend to me a name of a friendly engineer in either state.
Can somebody also tell me which state Is easier on conversions.
I don't know if it realy matters what I've done but just in case I need a certain engineer I have put a commodore floor pan with rails and 5.0L into my van..... All running gear is commodore.

Soda finds it's way into the smallest of gaps, being so fine ,it is hygroscopic and becomes corrosive. very early bodies were not spot welded (pinch welds) thus no hiding place to grow. it was mentioned that "I have heard many stories", I'm a believer of where there is smoke there is fire and I have seen the residue growing between inner and outer sills on a job done for me..... Hi jason, new to the forum and just found your site. Congratulations on your commitment to the job, I did similar to an EK van 20 odd years ago, got the stitch many times and took years to finish.... I put a 304 VL calais floor with front rail connected into it, the rear tin was kept standard with engineered workings to hold the diff. For interested partys my fuel tank is v6 Pajero very easy to fit and holds 95 litres. would love to send photos but being a silly old bugger can't do so. because of that experience my 2 Fj vans and fe van are stock standard...... Hi. Strongly suggest bead blast if you go that way, soda has some inherant residue problems. The back yard job is best as described as before, if you do use paint stripper on thick paint put glad wrap over the stripper and leave it for as long as you like (within reason) it lets the stripper penetrate without drying out, then use 36/40 grit on your sander/angle grinder. New to the forum.  I bought an FE windowless panel van & it's rotten with rust.  So i need a fairly clean front half of a FE/FC body shell,and K frame  Am willing to travel to most places but live in SE NSW area.  Any contacts or possible sightings would be highly appreciated. i am in Melbourne atm, and will be for a while so the whole S.E. aus' is accessable (i have a tandem).
