I used a 2 speed kit from Vic may be your contact and it fitted straight on. As for dollars I cheated and had an auto elec fit it so cannot remember. However he did fit it into the existing switch position and used the same switch knob.

Good to see the reposts. I have a copy of the 1956 Modern Motor mag that has the early pictures of the FE including the one shown in this post. They also talk about how they tried to get GM-H to provide info and pictures and they would bring the monthly mag out early to fit the release of the FE but no responce hence the early preview.

They started yesterday and again early this morning. Keep an eye out for a blue XR6. However the FE's should not have a problem.
