the car is still available - same condition, still garaged... I wish I had the mechanincal skills to restore it, but sadly I'm without experience in that area.
I was hoping someone interested in restoring her would come and look at her.

although it's an old thread....
i was not trying to 'flog my car on someone else's forum' Apologies if that was the impression. I merely thought a fellow fc fan was unaware that his Personal Email was not recieving. This of course could have affected many other things in his life.
I won't bother being helpful anymore that's for sure.
here endeth the effort!

I am on the verge of getting it re registered here in Vic so I can at least drive her around while I'm waiting to sell. Problem is, I may decide to keep her then!

I can't believe it either! It is a great car, and drives really well. I wish I had more of the skills i need to finish the project, and the space to do it in.

I guess if it doesn't sell soon, that something's telling me she should stay with me...

Hi all,

At the risk of sounding thick, could someone direct me as to where the definitive engine number for a 59 FC can be found? I'm seeing a stamped number on the block which doesn't seem to correspond to anything (the FC club's id guide, or indeed the RTA!).
I'm obviously missing something very obvious . i can find all the other numbers (the id plate on the firewall, and the chassis no. which is stamped on the engine bay over the driver's side guard).
Help! I'm feeling a bit stupid!

hi all,

My car still available, but can we all be clear that it's not a 'ready to drive' number? it's only 3K, and is for an enthusiast to take and finish the restoration. Having said that, it sounds great and it goes really well !
As I said before, it would be great to see the car go to a genuine FC fan, who will bring it up to its potential. It does provide a good starting point, as nothing really major is wrong with it.
