Sorry has been a while just started a new job.
At the moment the 186 is staying in whilst I'm on my p's.
At the moment i am having a lot of difficulties keeping it cool.
Went to a radiator specialist the other day and as it is a standard two core eh radiator it has to be recored too three.
Also went to cardiff Auto trim and am looking at a full white vinyl interior with yellow stitching black carpet, cost $2500 all together.
I need to know of a decent chrome place in newcastle if anyone has any ideas???
I was also told that the 350 holly does not work well with the 186 and triple su's are on the way.
Any other suggestions let me know cheers photos will soon  be uploaded

Spoke to the guy i brought it off today. The legal requirement even with an engineer is that with chassis bracing the ute can have a 307 no larger. There are ways to legaly run the 5.0l so that will most likely be the choice of motor. Also called the rta today and they said anything over 15 % of the original engine capacity needs to be engineered.
Castlemaine rod shop sells chassis kits for the fe but am looking at having ago myself with the engineers specifications.

Hey everyone. Thought id show off my new pride and joy. I recently just moved to Mudgee, Went into the exhaust shop to get a quote on my other car and seen the fe parked out the front. We were talking about it for a while and he said that he was looking at selling it as he had a new project (hq 1 tonner) and needed the money. After a few negotiations i was driving out with the fe and a grin from ear to ear and a lot less cash. The ute is in great condition was resprayed 12 year ago but still looks very smick. Ute is running a 186 stroked to 209, 350 single holey extractors and full exhaust, 5 speed celica box. so far since iv had it just been doing a little bit of tidying up. brought new 13 inch dress rims resprayed the rims black fitted a new head deck and speakers in back parcel. With an old car that has hardley been used have been finding little things but now getting fixed. At the moment it is getting the rear seal done rear brakes, new diff higher ratio ball joints and little things like that.

The Ute is great no rust that i know of and runs really well. But as everyone knows ideas start running through your head and before you know it nothing is the same.
Iv decided next year i want to pull the car off the road and start the build. Finding the space is the hardest part as my parents shed is full   Angry . I previously owned an EH premier and did alot of work my self but haven't tried to tackle something as big as this, so all the help i can get would be appreciated.

Today im going down to coles and getting a text book and a sketch pad to start plan this all out. As i live in N.S.W i have to be able to get it registered here.
I will be going to an engineer to see what i have to stick to and see the requirements i have to meet.

Plans are to pull the whole car down Pray to god not to find any rust  Wink sand blast the whole car. I defiantly would like to put a v8 in. whether it would be the 5.0l or 5.7 gen3. Has anyone had any experience in putting the gen3 and would it be able to be engineered? I do realize that the sub frame would have to be braced new engine mounts everything like that exactly why im going to speak to an engineer. all new running gear throughout as it is going to be a daily driver id like to have disc brake rear end as well. There is plenty of plans just a matter of putting all the pieces together. Any suggestions would be great. Around mudgee who is a good engineer to talk to. Cheers everyone
