Wanted alive or alive, one synchro drum Part No 7406183 to suit grey gearbox.
Where can I get a good one? I can find poor ones, but I like to change gears without the use of a breaker bar.
I am also been told that someone repairs/reconditions them. Any help will be appreciated.

For Sale and Wanted / Reproduction Parts / Re: Heavy-duty Brakedrums

I finally have some information for all those interested in the heavy-duty brake drums. They are being made of truck & bus grade iron.
The pattern maker has lots of work at the moment and to keep down costs has put my job to the bottom of his list. This week he will finish the pattern, and send it to the foundry where the drums will be cast.
As I am not personally making the drums, I have to rely on the times given to me by others. I too am anxious to get a set of these onto my own car.
As always, I can be contacted on (02) 47313966 Steve.

I am manufacturing heavy-duty brakedrums, like the ones made by Repco for taxi's and utes.
They will suit FE FC FB and EK.
These finned drums are expected late July. Contact me if you have any queries, on this site, or at [02] 47313966 Steven.

Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Stray currents in radiator.

After a slow start we seem to be getting closer to the problem, and a cure.
I think the real name of the problem is called electrolisis, and not currents. Much of the later discussion seems to be getting somewhere. I have never had a radiator eaten away by electrolisis so therefore haven`t had to worry about sacrificial anodes. What I would suggest is earthing the engineblock to the body with a thick earth braid. The original connection hose to the fuel pump had a metal braid around it for this purpose but most heve been replaced by the wrong hose. Daydreamer.

Dear Slim.
The catalog I have before me is No M32662 and covers models "48" & '50" series, FJ, FE, FC and FB series.
Note that Holden make no mention of " FX".
No it is not for sale, and I think that my brother might heve dificulty getting this one back!
The last one I saw for sale at a swap meet was for $60.00 . I examined it but it was not made of gold. Good luck. Daydreamer.
