7  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Holden HQ radiator into FE on: June 14, 2011, 08:32:07 AM
Should fit ,but I am not overly familiar with FE,s  you will have to cut out your side panels and notch your bottom rails a bit am guessing , also the v6 commodore radiators fit pretty good with the same mods .

Reckon you will still have to fit thermos , depending on where your motor ends up sitting , will not be huge amounts of room for a fan

Hers a couple pics of my EK one , might give you some ideas

Hope you enjoyed your trip around .

How are you sharpening your electrode tip? You need to sharpen it to a conical shape with the grinding grain running along ways on the tip, this will concentrate your arc to the centre and should stop it wandering , you may already be doing it like this? Also what colour tip is on your electrodes .

That's a bugger , thought they would weigh about the same , EK,s  scape over the 1100kg cut off , they are making it harder every year.

Ed, You need to get busy with the 253  Wink

G,day Ed

This is the new formula .

Not sure what FC,s weigh but I guess they are similar to EK,s

Vehicles 1100kg +, Normally aspirated is original mass (kg)x 5 = max capacity in cc ,

But you need to talk to your engineer , there is a heap of stuff you are going to have to upgrade to get it passed with that size engine .
