Hi all, Just a quick note to address a few questions... 1. There are no Entry forms for this event... it is open to all who come on the day. 2. You pay when you get there ... no you can't / don't pay me, Heathcote Park take the money on the day. 3. This event is open to HOLDENS ... not Mazda's running a Holden motor or other GM breeds... sorry. 4. No, I am not organising accommodation. 5. Yes it is at a very busy time in the Holden show calender, but this is not a SHOW, it's a car games day with the Clubs on display as a feature 6. There is NO JUDGING of vehicle because this is not a show. Trophies on the day will be for performance not Shine... and issued by HPR not Club officials. 7. We do not charge Clubs to be on display, but their members will still pay $10 a head spectator fee. 8. The vehicles on the Club display CANNOT COMPETE on the day, and will have to stay on display from the start of the day to about 4pm. This is to ensure no vehicle movement through spectators. 9. The Organiser have the right to remove "Go-to-whoa" if there are too many 400m competitors to ensure the 400m competitors get a fair number of runs for their money. 10. If you pay $40 to "play" that is for ONE DRIVER ONLY ... each extra driver is an extra $10 each. 11. The facility has it's own officials. Thank you to those who have offered to help. We have merely organised the promotion of the Day and HD HR Club officials will only be supervising the setting up of the Club Displays before the event. We have already been notified of attendences from South Australia, New South Wales and Tasmania, as well as many Victorian enquiries. Come along, enjoy and relax. General / Events, Shows etc / Vic fill in for the Vic All Holden Day ?

As many respected Victorian Clubs are represented on this forum... I would like to ask for an "Expression of interest" from the Victorian users of this forum. In light of there being no Vic AHday in 2004, I would like to propose a "All Holden Picnic" for the benefit of a still to be determined charity. "Holdens in the Hills" would be a "Gold coin donation" per person event with no judges or trophies, just a thank-you certificate to each attending Club. I hope to look at February or March 2004. If you think your Club would be interested in this community event please email me at garythorpe@bigpond.com.au . Thanks for your time Gary Thorpe HD HR Holden Club of Vic.

Hi All, I too am stunned that Victoria's primo Holden event is to be put on hold, but having been part to the planning committee during my time with the club, the event has become far more intense than anybody can imagine. ONe Club might be the organiser, but they involve at least 2 other Clubs for logistics, parking, $$$ at the gate etc. I feel they've done it best. With all due respect to Steve and the NSW AHDay planners when I went there in 2000 I found little control over the display of vehicles and the lack of official judges somewhat disconcerting. I have not attended the NSW AHDay since so I cannot comment on their events progress since then, but I hope it has evolved and improved. Here's hoping that a refreshed and new committee can make the 2005 Vic AHDay the best ever. Gary Thorpe President, HD HR Holden Club of Vic.

General / Events, Shows etc / "Dyno Dave" Bennett and his 186S Premier to featur
on: March 18, 2003, 01:33:26 PM
In a mobile phone call this evening (17th) "Dyno Dave" Bennett, the founder of "Yella Terra" confirmed his attendance at the 2003 HD HR Nationals ! He will be bringing the HR Premier 186S 4speed that he used to show GMH what his company was capable of , leading to Yella Terra's first contract for XU1 heads. Dave will speak for a short time at the Presentation Dinner too. His attendance will be at no extra cost to the event or the entrants, and will be a rare exclusive event for entrants, as he doesn't address groups very often. This is a great bonus for entrants and organisers ! Our thanks in advance to Dave and "Prefectune / Yella Terra" for his attendance.

I went to the NSW AHD once and we a had a good day, but they need to start putting the models into groups ! They just let them park all over the shop... no matter ... forces you to look at everything to find the odd one of the model you prefer . Good Swap meet though. GT
