1  General / General Board / Stability Control laws in Victoria on: March 02, 2011, 06:15:28 PM
I read today in the paper that it is now complusary for vehicles made and sold after Jan 1 2011 to have stability control in Victoria.

My question is are newly re-built restored FC's & FE's excempt from this ?

Almost forgot - bring a raincoat just to be sure.

Latest image from EMQ today at 1300 suggests If the cyclone keeps on this path all we may get is some showers this weekend.
What it will do is finish off (flood) the remainder of the state that isn't affected by floods.
It has a span at the moment of 1000km, and due to hit on Thursday.

Hi Guys,

The Toowoomba Range reopened to 2 uplanes this morning, so traveling from Brisbane should be fine - apart from the odd pile of junk broken down towing an overloaded pile of junk to the swap meet that is !
Heading back to Brisbane down the range, there is still only one lane for about 400m (up near the start of the decent).  Looking on the cameras I expect there may be a small delay, if a delay at all.
The Gore and New England Hwy's from down south are all open.
From sunny coast, you can come over via Kilcoy, then Esk and Gatton.

Biggest issue is potholes, a few good ones between Gatton & Esk, also some beauties in the more uninhabited locations along the hwys.
Gatton - Helidon still closed at Grantham.
Gatton - Clifton (Heifer Ck) also still out of action, as is Esk - Hampton.

In general - most roads are open, just in very bad shape.

If you're coming from down south, come via Warwick or Goondiwindi as the Toowoomba Range will only be open one lane up and one lane down due to flood damage, and traffic queue delays are expected to be over a hour long.....was 1.5 hours last week at one point.

Harry (dad) and I will be there in his two FC utes (two tone green and two tone blue).  We'll be somewhere in the 600 plus vehicles parked side by side.

We'll keep an eye out for you  Smiley
8  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Paint Codes for Skyline Blue (2051) on Fountain Blue (9741) on: April 19, 2010, 08:34:41 AM
Hi Guys,

My father and I are looking to repaint our two tone blue ute Fountain Blue on Skyline Blue and are looking for paint codes that might give us the right colours.  I say repaint as we painted it 2 years ago trying to colour match a door we had and we got colours that are too dark.  The codes 9741 (Fountain Blue) and 2051 (Skyline Blue) were of no assistance to us as these codes ment nothing to our painter or local paint suppliers. All input appreciated.
