2  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Ute Floor Details on: October 30, 2009, 09:46:02 PM
Just wondering if anyone can please help me with what the original ute floors on FC's looked like - perhaps someone has a photo? At the moment mine's just got a sheet of ply and looks pretty ordinary. I see there's holes for some sort of hold down screws in the subframe and I'm guessing they had straps of some kind. Any idea what sort of timber would have been used - single sheet or separate boards? I guess it would have been a hardwood timber?

Also some details of the straps would be much appreciated, like whether there's anyone out there that can make them, or whether I just use any old metal straps

Any help or photos appreciated

Thanks...Mark

Thanks Ken for your prompt reply, sounds quite interesting. I haven't spotted any residual Khaki so must have been a full body respray and makeover, since grill and bumpers are obviously chrome now.

The chassis number is FC 63949M

Still basically a stockie running a grey, but has been lowered slightly and some wider steelies

4  General / General Board / FC Ute ID Plate on: October 24, 2009, 09:46:44 PM
Hi, just a newby here and first time post, so here goes.....

I'm think my FC ute might have been resprayed in a different colour to what it was originally and was wondering whether anyone out there could please help me decipher the ID Plate details:

Body: FC 2106-8557M
Trim: S1 770
Paint: 253-5296
Top: S10

It's currently a light green, but I dont think it's an original colour.

Any help much appreciated

Thanks....Mark
