1  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Trimmer recommendations Melbourne - Frankston - Mornington Peninsula on: September 01, 2015, 08:29:40 PM
 Hi all,

We're looking for recommendations for a trimmer in the Frankston/Mornington Peninsula area (though happy to travel a reasonable distance for the right person). I have an FC wagon and want seats (bench in front) door trims, rear cargo space and hoodling done.

Thanks in advance

Amy
2  General / General Board / Cargo space ideas for wagon on: March 29, 2015, 08:52:28 PM
Hi,
Not sure if this should be posted on one of the technical boards, but I need inspiration as to how to fit out the cargo space of my wagon. I am open to all ideas, doesn't have to be original. I had an idea of a wood panel type look, but hubby is the one that is doing the actual work.
Photos would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!

6  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Left side vent window frame on: November 08, 2011, 09:09:25 PM
Hi,
My step-daughter used the latch on the passenger side vent window to close the door and the latch came off in her hand. I believe I will need to replace the whole window frame, is that correct or can I just replace the latch?
Anyone happen to have a spare they can sell me of what I need to replace? I'm a bit disappointed as I have just had an immobilisor and alarm installed and now that the window can't be closed securely, Effie is back in the driveway and not on the road  Sad

Aww, the orange Ford coupe is pretty cool, that's dad's car and I had it at my wedding.

We were the only Holden there (apart from a HQ) and we were the only couple with kids under 13 (2 and 6 months). Lots of comments about the baby seats in the back!

9  General / General Board / First road trip in Effie on: October 16, 2011, 09:45:58 PM
Well, we tagged along to the Mansfield Rod Run in Effie. It was put on by the Bay Rodders, my dad is a founding member. It was heaps of fun, I loved having the only FC (actually one of the only Aussie cars) parked at the Jamison Brewery. She received plenty of compliments and attention, especially with 2 kiddie seats in the back.
I love my FC and thoroughly enjoy having one as a daily driver (driven not hidden!). Now I just need to win tatts (I will soon) so I can do everything I want to do to her!

11  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / HR wheels to suit FC Wagon on: August 31, 2011, 09:43:16 PM
Hi All,
I'm after some HR wheels to suit my FC wagon (it has HR running gear). Looking for standard style white widened wheels (although I can get them powdercoated so colour not really an issue). Tyres not a necessity.
I'm in Frankston VIC

Thanks guys, with a bit of force hubby got them out Smiley
13  Technical Board / General Technical / Help Please: Leaf spring front shackle bolt removal on: March 12, 2011, 09:38:01 PM
Hi,
I am querying how to remove to the front shackle bush bolt on the leaf springs. It appears to have a screw head on the inside of the support bracket and I'm not sure if this needs to be undone to remove the bolt so that I can change the front shackle bush. Is this threaded in like a screw or can I just knock the bolt through?
Thanks for any help Smiley
14  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Changing to a 3 speed auto (and a couple of other questions). on: February 20, 2011, 01:42:39 PM
Thanks Keith and Ken,
Wow Keith, thanks heaps you have been very thorough!! Think I'm going to have to rule out power steering and just build up my arm muscles instead!
15  Technical Board / Modification Help / Changing to a 3 speed auto (and a couple of other questions). on: February 19, 2011, 08:03:24 PM
Advice please,
I would like to change my wagon transmission from a celica 5 speed to a 3 speed (column shift) auto. Mainly so I can accomodate a bench seat, but also to make driving a bit easier. Has anyone got any recommendations?
Also, Effie has a HR front end and I would also like to put in power steering. I have been told by the local power steering place that it could be done but sourcing the parts may be the hard part.... has anyone done this?
Thanks, all advice/recommendations are greatly appreciated.

P.S Best place to get new carpet for a wagon in Melbourne?
16  General / General Board / Re: Re-installing FC front & rear windows GET IT IN WRITING on: January 15, 2011, 01:39:54 PM
Yep, Stewy is correct, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. I saw after I posted that the company is based in Adelaide, but they must have franchises in Melbourne. I think the old guy that came out came from Emerald or somewhere up that way...

We had Complete Windscreens put a new windscreen in Effie, $225 they were ment to come down on a Saturday morning, but I got a call from the boss stating that the young man he had on that day didn't have enough experience to do an FC and would I mind waiting until the following weekend. I didn't and the gentleman they sent came early, spent a couple of hours making sure the job was done right (he also liked a chat and playing with our staffy), but we were thrilled with the job (clear windscreen, no black or blue tinted bit).
Highly recommend Complete Windscreens!!!

Hi,
Thanks to all who have sent me a pm. I forgot that I had posted this thread and therefore forgot to add that we found one in Sydney, its now sitting in the shed waiting for my hubby's broken leg to mend so a few bits and pieces can be done so she's roadworthy.
Can't wait!!
