Looking to purchase a towbar to suit my EK Holden ute. From what I understand, the towbars for utes were common for FE, FC, FB and EK. Note that the ute/van towbars are very different to the sedan/wagon towbars.

I know that Aranda towbars makes a new ute towbar (Part No T2H212), but am looking to lay my hands on an older one if possible as the Aranda ones are weight limited to 1000kg.

Happy to pay for a good unit and postage/freight.

Cheers,
Harv

14  General / General Board / Re: COST OF RESTORATION on: September 03, 2013, 06:32:49 PM
Cheaper crome platter , be careful . I've just finnished an fc wagon that I don't keep receipts for as too sad price wise, but when I done my ek panelvan I got the bumpers done at a good price . Problem is they had rust bubbles before it left the shed. Had never been wet and I'm in Canberra . Electro platting technology in queanbean is great from my and my friends experiece . Might cost though . Think it was $300 for bonnet emblem on fc alone . Good though .

16  General / General Board / Re: rear cargo area material on: July 25, 2013, 11:05:07 AM
Glenn that sounds good to me. I didnt ask roll price as way too much material for me to unload but would work out cheaper. I have a fully restored fc wagon that only needs the rear cargo area done to roll out on the road so keen as. I will leave it for now and touch base with you in a couple of weeks to see how its going. I was lucky enough to need the light blue roof linning that turned up instead of the white last time so bad for eveyone else but a win for me . thanks again for that. viv

18  General / General Board / rear cargo area material on: July 25, 2013, 06:49:50 AM
Hi all , im about to order material from sms auto fabrics in the US that looks like a good match for the original diamond pattern. It is going to cost me $225 for 3yards off the roll of 52 or 54 inches and that is enough to do rear area, and postage around $150. Might get better for buying more. Im getting some regardless but if anyone else thinks they might like some let me know and i will order a bit more. Im ready to order now so be quick. I dont want money now just want to know if there are two or three others interested. Viv
