2  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Hr front end disc breaks on: September 09, 2009, 12:17:25 PM
Hi everyone I have replaced the upper and lower ball joints, spings and shockies on the Hr front end of my FC Ute project and find the wheels are extremely difficult to turn from side to side as in steering, would that be because they are new or have I installed them incorrectly or done something wrong? any advise is appreciated, Cheers

Thanks for the tips on two pack Mark & Ed, I've done a few laquer paint jobs and a couple in enamel but I've never tackled two pack before, I'm going to give it a go because i like the high gloss finish that is achievable compared to laquer, should i buy a proper gun or is my old gun good enough, if it's going to make a difference i'd rather go the extra $ and get the right one.

G'day utesrule66, are the doors not fitting horizontally or verticaly, or is it in or out, hinges can be bent, holes lenthend but if the opening is too small you have problems, I learned the hard way I bought a wagon project once that someone had already started, the doors wouldn't even fit the openings at all, it was easier just to sell it on than to try and fix it.

Hi all finally getting around to putting something on this forum about our FC Ute project. been a bit slack at the progress since we bought them in 2006. but most of the time I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing.

My son and I purchased 2 FC Ute's from a nice bloke out at Dubbo
both unfortunately have extensive rust. but we like a good challenge.

we were in Sydney but have now move to the ACT.

will add some photos when I work out how to do that.

[ or ask RET to do it Wink ]
