If you can't get a yoke, your local spare parts shop will have a multi-fit plastic dummy gearbox extension housing plug. If you do use a real yoke it may pay to wire it in place as the weight of them will cause it to slip off if the box is lifted too far off the horizontal.

In the video to Surfers Paradise at the end of the punt crossing of the Clarence River you can see the old pub to the left which is still a big landmark in Grafton. Cool vid

This year is Canberra's centenary and there are a host of events happening throughout the year, if you like I can send you a PM with the event organiser details and you may want to see if there is any assistance etc that may be available.

FC Wags
You may need to add a couple of flat and one spring washer before putting the nuts on as some replacement studs have a shank section with no thread and the nut will bottom out before obtaining a seal. As Ken said it is essential to have it square, tightening the nuts in an even manner, ie. alternate between the two nuts until all is tight. A smear of manifold sealer is also helpful and if you can use brass nuts as this will make future repairs easier.

Must of been an export LHD model ..................... but it certainly is a great treasure to have an original drawing done by your Dad before you were born and it being of an FC is very uncanny.

I agree with Ken, it appears from your description that you have an air leak and the fuel pump will suck air rather than fuel as it is less dense than petrol. If the rubber hose connection doesn't solve your problem carefully inspect the steel fuel line to ensure there are no pinprick ho;es.

If the engine is in standard form it will be have a relatively low compression ratio when compared to later model engines and the lower octane fuel should be satisfactory, however with the absence of lead to aid in lubrication you will need to use an additive to help prevent any undue vale seat or guide wear.
