haha - you crack me up Kathi... how true!!! Mind you I wouldn't make it to Orange in Matilda, beautiful old girl, but geez the ride's a bit rough, gave me a good laugh watching Keith trying to find the gears in her though. Considering how old she is and that it's been about 6 years since he last drove her I actually think he did remarkably well!!! We had a great day and the kids had an awesome time going for a drive in her. Jack was beside himself with excitement. At the end of the day Keith offered to take those still there for a ride around the block. Well we had a full bus in 5 seconds flat, mostly old folk, and you should have seen them... couldn't get the smiles off their face. It was priceless.

Well we are finally at a stage where there has been some progress and the FC is finally off the (very messy) floor. As someone let the cat out of the bag I thought I better get some photo's up quick smart before the rest of you (yes you know who you are F4+++++) start to hassle me for photo's. Now if only he would clean up all the mess around the bloody car I might not worry so much that he's going to break his neck every time he's out there working on the car. And I'm terrified every time he moves my car out that it is never going to see the inside of the garage again. I've tried spray painting a white line down the middle of the garage to clearly state each side but all his hmmm (things ) still encroach on my side. What's a girl to do? Any way still doing my best to encourage progress even will loosen the purse strings at the end of the month to give an injection of funds into the FC account. That should help considerably (no execuse then)... ohh except the no time one. Still not convinced we'll make it to Orange in the FC, lucky I have my XR6 at the ready. Any words of encouragment to Mr EffCee to help push progress along would be greatly appreciated. cheers to all.

looking great. OMG I can't get over the garage in the back ground. How come ours can't be that clean!! Effcee says it's cause the wife's cars not in the garage, I say if I took mine out long term he would just over take my side of the garage with all his junk. (still love ya EffCee)

wow Beautiful work Stinky. Great to see the pics along the way. Love the boot!! and we might have to put in an order for matching car seats for the kids when you do the trim on EffCee's car. And would love to hear how you incorporated the kids art work into the boot lid. well done. Sandy

OMG - Leon, so glad to see you finally made it. BTW EffCee after reading those drama's and knowing what your luck is like, if you are lucky enough to actually have OUR FC finished by Orange, we are definately taking the cruiser with the car trailer on the back and towing the bloody car!!! You know me well.... do you think I'd have the patience to handle all that

FC pretty much all bare metal Rotisserie nearly finished Another shot of progress hole in floor?? I'm thinking "Flintstones, meet the Flintstones" (Keith says rust cut out..... just looks like a hole to me) So he really did bust his backside all last week, with a LOT of help from son Pete. Saturday they spent the day toing and froing between our house and his mates ripping front ends and bits and pieces out from one car and bringing back here for this car (now that sounds confusing... I told him when he bought the FC he was only allowed one project at a time, absolutely no two cars going at the same time!!... do ya think he'd listen.... story of my married life) . I think he probably got a little side tracked along the way cause I don't think he got as much done on Saturday as he could have if I was supervising properly! But over all I have seen an amazing transformation in the last week and I'm very proud of him. His progress has inspired me to keep nagging him (to work on the car that is). Progress may slow down a little as his back at work now but I will endeavour to try and give him as much "free time" as possible when he is home. Hopefully some more update pics in the not too distant future (don't want it to be another 12 months before I get to chat to you all.. All the best to everyone Mrs EffCee

Now, getting back on track.... Keith and his son Peter, have been very busy boys over the last few days and making the most of time before Keith goes back to work, and Pete back to QLD on Monday. We now have almost all the body panels of the shell in bare metal AND the rotisserie is just about finished too. Tomorrow there are plans to swap front and rear ends over with his spare FC currently resting at a mates house. (I won't be going over with him though, so hopefully he won't get side tracked and be gone too long), don't worry Kathi, I'll put him on a time limit. As he has been out in the shed ALL week. I have given him the day off on Sunday (so he can spoil me, make me breakfast in bed, and just generally pamper me) .... but I'll make sure he gets back out in that shed asap after Sunday. Keep an eye open for updated photo's on Monday night. cheers to all

Keith, Will you be bringing Mrs EffCees Mum to Orange, too?? She sounds pretty cool (probably about my vintage; might be able to do a line with her ) Mrs EffCee's Mum will not be coming to Orange to the best of my knowledge. Which is probably a great pity as Mrs EffCees Mum has a penchant for FC's. After all Mrs EffCee (Sandy) was conceived in the back of one. (Much to Sandy's embarassment) Who knows what might have been Jack.... ( I am pretty sure those days are long gone)

Hi guys, haven't been on sticking my beek in things for awhile, but when Keith showed me this post I couldn't help but think "gee, bomer only got the car in December and already it's up on a rotisserie" EffCee has had his car sitting in the garage for ohhh about 10 months and it's still sitting in the same condition as when it arrived!!!! Well done on at least the motivation Bomer, maybe we need you over here getting a little motivation happening in this neck of the woods. Not even an earlier visit from Nosferatu & smithy and the entire ACT FE/HR club worked!! . Really don't know what else to do . Good luck with your project Bomer, Keith's car is in a little better condition than yours however I have a funny feeling you will finish first

Wow. the photo's are awesome. Will definitely have to try and get along to the next run. Makes me even more impatient to get hubby's FC rebuild up and running, guess i'll have to stop cracking the whip a little to allow him extra time in the garage

gee, glad we don't have those kind of neighbours, was hard enough holding hubby out the seven years to get a project, if that was next door I'd have had a really job on my hands. Bad enough when going away for weekends and have to do detours to peer into peoples creeks on their farms

ha.. you guys are funny , this is good! Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Hi David, the trip on June 22nd sounds good, we might try and make that one. Good to know we wouldn't be the only ones with out an FC etc, but would be great to see some of the other nice old cars that people are driving. Dean, you two sound so much like me and Keith.. it's so funny that you mention Sonia likes you to have things to do in the shed cause it gets you out of the house and out of her hair, cause I only said to Keith the other day, that at the very least him having a project to work on in the shed will allow me to have a bit of time out to myself, just to do me things, without feeling guilty that I'm not focusing on him (glad I'm not the only one to have those thoughts from time to time) I must admit I do like to sneak out and see what he is up to from time to time (and not just to check up on him that he is actually working!) It's good when he explains what's what and what goes where, though don't know that I'll ever make much of an assistant to him cause I get confused with the difference between a spanner and a screwdriver . The other day I was in our ensuite and the second FC Keith brought home is parked up the side of our house next to the ensuite window (yes great view... not) anyway I looked out the window and here's Keith resting up against the FC peering into it, like it's the greatest thing in the world (he'd gone out to put rubbish in the bin and got side tracked). Watching him just standing you could see the love in his eyes...(for the car)!! I'm really looking forward to Keith getting the FC started and watching the progress being made. Although I'm not a huge car person I do like the look of the FC's and I get excited at Keith's excitment. He has a lot of good idea's and I look forward to seeing them come together, my problem is I like everything done yesterday, I'm impatient... yes I admit it.... so I'm hoping it won't take as long as my fears are telling me it will take . Saw a photo of a car that had been sandblastered the other night and it looked great, well at least compaired to the rusted photo. Can't wait till keith gets that done to his, then it will be like a clean slate ready to go!! i've noticed a lot of people have photo's of their cars attached to their forum name, but I think I might wait awhile till Keith gets a bit done, then take a photo to attach to my name, alternatively I could attach a photo of my nice sleek black f....d RX6, but that might just be asking for trouble Thanks for the welcome! Sandra
