3  General / Events, Shows etc / Fair Dinkum Charity Car & Bike Show. on: February 13, 2009, 09:43:47 AM
21st February 2009

Hosted by Pinky in conjunction with Penrith Paceway. Penrith Paceway. Penrith Entrants from 8.30am till 3pm. Reds Diner will be open for food and drinks during the day, with a donation to funds collected for this event. There will be no trophies, due to the costs incurred unless a Trophy Manufacturer, or Business house is prepared to pay for them. I am determined to keep all costs to the barest minimum.
Penrith Paceway is donating the venue for no cost, and is fully assisting with Staff and facilities. This is the opportunity for the Car and Bike Show Entrants, and Public, to assist the Brigades within the fire ravaged areas of Victoria. This is a genuine CHARITY event and money will be personally handed to the C.F.A. Brigades by Pinky, during the week of 9th to 13th of March 2009, as I will be in Victoria for that week Announcing at Geelong, (All Holden Day), and then Wodonga (Chrysler on the Murray), on those weekends before and after. (check my calendar). http://www.pinky.com.au  The Brigades will be able to use the money towards replenishing their personal safety gear and other essential requirements. As a former President, and still current Member of Hawkesbury Headquarters Rural Fire Brigade, I am fully aware of the restraints and demands on our Firefighters personal safety gear during major fire outbreaks. It is for this reason the money will go direct to the affected Brigades. Indirectly this will also be helping those communities. It is anticipated to have a Big Brigade Auction and if any person can encourage Business Houses to donate some goods for the same please get in contact with myself. If you can help, ring me. All vehicles, (Car or Bike), $20. Passengers Free. Public: Adults $10 Family $20 Concessions $5
Let us show Australia that the Motor Show scene has a heart and cares.
Ring PINKY 0427 100 863 anytime.

have seen a few of these at swap meets etc with the sellers claiming they were Nasco etc etc but can't find any evidence to support that claim.

9  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: centre console. on: July 01, 2007, 11:32:10 PM
sorry to drag up an old thread but I'm looking for a simple console. Small and neat. About the width of the centre piece and through to the back of the ute between buckets, so not very wide. Am not a crashhot manufacturer so was wondering has anyone any ideas that can be purchased from the wreckers? 5 speed celica box
Ok, that all very vague...but would appreciate any pics that were about Smiley
Cheers

11  General / General Board / Re: 57 or 58 FC? on: July 01, 2007, 07:03:36 AM
again..many thanks....I rang the guy I bought it off to see if he still had the original motor but no go...hoping when I get it home there's something I can find that will tell me. It has always been a country ute and has always been garaged...not a bubble of rust anywhere..but it has been worked on....It was rebuilt in 1997 by a Glen Innes firm and I have that paperwork and engineers cirtificate. It drives like a new one. Went to the Gold Coast for Wintersun once and then only to get annual rego...and a wedding....
anyway..a few picture tells a thousand words....

thanks for that! the RTA will oneday sell me a plate I spose when it all gets some clarity to it.
As the vehicle is at a workshop getting a few things sorted I couldn't just duck out and check the plate.....I live in the country....place called Come-By-Chance...and it's at Tamworth about 3 1/2 hours away....but did get a bit off the plate... FC 2106 6285 S
if only I could find the grey motor out of it......but it's in a tip somewhere......burried probably
Anyway, again, thankyou for that info...appreciate it

13  General / General Board / 57 or 58 FC? on: June 29, 2007, 09:03:34 PM
Hi, I'm new here and have just purchased an FC Ute.
Rego papers say it's a 1957 year build as do the dots in the glass on the window (according to a guy that loves old Holdens) But all the places I go to say the FC wasn't built till 58
Rego papers say Year 1958 Make Holden Model FC58A
All very confusing.
Anyone able to help on this?  :-/
Cheers
Duds
actually to add  to that... it also says Variant FC58C and Vin is FC27027S. Apparently built in Sydney
thanks Smiley
