For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: LOOKING FOR FE FC UTE VAN TOWBAR

Rob, Vern,
The mythical $200 soon vanished! as by the time I had the towbar duplicated by Carasel Towbars (they did a top job) and a gooseneck bent up for the one I "found" I was well out of pocket/s
Neither were easy to fit with much swearing & skinned knuckles

Made it to BH! With the kind help of Graham, Julius, and thier fellow travellers (you know who you are guys, and thier understanding partners) Boiled big time about 150 k's out of Broken Hill, then again a bit further down the road
Graham spotted a leak at the top rad hose & after tightening it there seems to be no more or only a little water loss, but it's running a bit hairy at low revs & idle & hard to start, so need to investigate
There is no water in the oil though
The amp guage shoots up as well after starting but settles down if I run the headlights on hi beam for a while
Now just need to google the nearest pub 8 ]

Have to say I've been running the Wilsonia guage set in a few cars for some time now Only issue was a slight oil leak in one of them at the guage
No issues apart from that as yet but mine are on grey not red motors all with generators
I have installation instructions somewhere so will post when found
Alex posted a feature on a 50 amp version in Accesory of the week, perhaps that model might be more suited to an alternator
