Yes and I am going to get it 2 extra engines plus other bits and pieces I will be cataloging the un-needed stuff so I can list it here.
Something else I was think about doing is making the top head light hi/lo beam and putting spotties in the lower ones, I have some here that are the same size as the lights that are there already

well I like the look but each to his/her own as you say
just a couple thoughts or ideas that I have and would like to do if/when the old girl is here and me and my sons Alex 15 and Xavier 12 start to rebuild her I was going to go the lo-rider look with rear wheel arch covers and lots of chrome VE Commodore Purple with mustard pinstrip flames down the side. Inside mustard with purple trim with no  or little chrome.

13  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: harmonic balancer bolt (again) on: April 16, 2007, 08:10:30 AM
if the bolt is too long you can get a nut and wind it on to bolt right up to head (if thread goes all the way up that is) if threat stops short use washers to bridge gap then place bolt into the the balancer bracket and tighten bolt as far you can after this you do this take the nut you placed on in step 1 and move it back down the bolt away from the bolt head to take wobble out. p.s. like other i say loctite it

Naaaah, these cars were also fitted with the Canadian blocks for the US market, the number plate is backwards as part of a DOT experiment so that the plates can be read in the rear view mirror  Wink  Grin

i know about the canadian cars but you would think the back plate would be the right way around plus the black torana next to the back view is LHD also
17  Galleries / Other Images / Re: Old Car Show pics on: February 27, 2007, 04:15:22 AM
if you check out the red brick sedan its not a LHD read the number plate its backward so picture is a reversal of negative

hi ed
I used to work for a Federal Government Department in the 80s and 90s and we were involved in the purchase of the diplomatic vehicles on behalf of the Government for various international embassies and i can remember seeing photos framed and loose around the place of old holdens, valiants and fords with mods such as stretched limos and dual headlights this could be a lead. Sadly the Department was closed down late 90s maybe i should have grabbed some these pictures........bugger!
