Did a search but the post was so long ago, the pics are no longer up on the thread.  This one shows a bit  of a pic of it taken at Toowoomba swap one year.

Here's a couple of pics of the old girl after a wash.

Pm us if you want more details

Feggle,
I've been considering selling my wagon for a while now but never got real serious about it.  It is sitting in the shed not getting any real use. I'll find the link and post it here.  Its got about 45000 miles on it now.  Have alook at the link and PM us if you want more info.

FC 427.  We'll be there again next year as always.  We are in the same sites every year in the cattle area near the "Moat house".  That is the building that straddles the gully up the back.   Just look for the cars.
Just ask for me if you want to have a chat. There is a few of us there.  Happy to do some bench racing.

The wagon is mine.  Doesn't see daylight much.  I thought the Toowoomba swap would be a good leg stretcher for the car.
It was posted in the galleries section a couple of years ago.

7  For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / EK & FB Utes for sale on: February 22, 2009, 10:43:43 PM
I have a couple of early utes for sale.
FB ute is completly stock but complete minus hubcaps & still runs (just) but the body is stuffed.  (I noticed today that this one had a heater in it under the dash if this helps at all).

Ek ute is repairable, about 50% assembled and in reasonable condition for a 49 year old commercial with rust in floorpans & sills & the usual other places. Needs a full restoration and has had FB front sheet metal put on it.  It has the grey running gear in it & comes with heaps of parts including 2 grey motors (condition unknown) 2 front ends, radiators, doors, front & rear windscreens, tailgate with new skin , taillights, dash assemblies, wheels, mouldings etc etc.  Heaps of bits & pieces.

I bought these about 3 months ago with the intention of making one ute out of the 2 but have decided to finish the cars I have & make some room.  All I have done is brought them home, cleaned them out, sort the crap from whats worth keeping & put them in the shed.

Cars are located in Woodford Qld.
$1650 neg.  0418 713 189 or pm me your e-mail address.

Thanks for looking
David.
8  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: Fe/Fc operable cowl vent & mechanism on: April 09, 2005, 09:28:31 AM
Fatboy,
What would you be looking for, for a good one?
If you had the mechanism, that would be good to help set it up.  It is for a rod project.  I have an Fc (pictured above) and believe I can best use an fc vent in the early chev cowl.  Having a good vent would be a start.

Cheers

9  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Fe/Fc operable cowl vent & mechanism on: April 08, 2005, 08:04:33 AM
G'day,
I'm looking for the cowl vent and mechanism including the hinge brackets off an fe/fc holden in resonable condition.  Looking for something in Brisbane northside preferably, however open to others.  I will be happy to come and do the removal if it is around the northside area.  Does anyone have a wreck lying around with this still in it?

Dave.

Hey Man,
Photos come through pretty damn good.  I believe it was worth the few hours spent working it out on a rainy day.  The photos do the car justice.  Should get the 2 cars together sometime for a shot. Wink

Mick
What Dr Terry has said is correct as the HR lower wishbone arms have "HR" stamped in them to distinguish them from the HD items.

Emu,
I'm in the Caboolture area.  Hopefully, the wagon will be there.  I went to the Toowoomba swap in it this year as well.  Its nothing to flash.  I had some pictures of the ole girl in the gallery section some time back under Fc wagon and sedan.  The sedan belongs to a friend.
See you and sarge at wintersun.

Guys,
Wintersun have their own website which I believe has a full list of events etc.  There should also be info on entry for 2004 if not soon.  www.wintersun.org.au
I'm hoping to be there in the wagon this year.

Chris,
Do you mean the plastic bits that run vertically on the ends of the front seat.

If so I have a pair that I didn't use when I retrimmed inside the wagon.  They should still be in good condition as I wrapped them up and packed them away .

16  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: 400 chev small block on: December 06, 2003, 08:43:45 PM
Harko,
I'm going for a roadster body.  Less expense involved and of course, the open car, the open road sort of thing.  There is a mob building glass bodies in Rocky and Gary Wrench was building them down in Victoria.  Australian Kit Car are also doing Chev glass bodies.  I think Bods by Elvis are only Ford gear.  I like the chevs because there aren't as many about.
There are always rumours about problems with different manufacturers, but I plan to check them out before buying.  Plenty to do before then though.

Its not for the wagon unfortunately.  I have a 283 sitting on the shed floor that will go into it someday.

The 400 is for the next project currently underway.  35 chev roadster.   I figure 400sb, 40 thou over, set of Dart heads, bit of a bump stick, nice set of tuned straws, powerglide auto.  Original set of rails with a glass body on it.  Power to weight should be rather interesting.  I figure it should be a bit of a fun machine.
Still interested in a ride??

18  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / 400 chev small block on: November 29, 2003, 10:59:32 AM
Looking for a 400 chev. Doesn't have to be a runner but rebuildable.  A short motor is okay.  A standard bore would be preferable but will check out any.  Preferably in southeast queensland.  Anybody know of one or have an old smoker lying around?

Regards

Very nice cars, Ace.
There is always that certain something about a black car with a splash of chrome.

Cheers
