4  Technical Board / General Technical / diff question?? on: December 13, 2006, 01:59:46 PM
Hi all,

Just wondering if there is a diff that would go in my FC that would get it cruising better on the freeway? It's totally stock but as I live in the outter suburbs of Melbourne anywhere I go It's Freeway or country roads.
I just want to get the rev's down a bit. I dont mind just doing 80k's but when I'm driving on a road that has gravel edges and I have a line of cars behind me it gets a bit frustrating for everyone else as well as myself as I cant keep pulling off the side all the time.  A diff centre would be best as I have just replaced all my brake bits. Any advice would be great.

Cheers Rick

6  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Upper control arm RHS wanted on: November 22, 2006, 12:45:45 PM
Hi all, I am in need of a right hand (drivers side) Upper control arm as mine has issues. I tried a couple of wreckers but they dont have one or they want $75 for one. I think that is a bit steep. Let me know if that is the going rate but I doubt it. Any help/leads appreciated. Cheers Rick

8  Technical Board / General Technical / Upper control arm problem on: November 19, 2006, 12:40:36 PM
Hi all, I seem to have a problem with the upper control arm on my fc?? I have replaced king pins and bushes ect got everything done and was at torque rench stage getting everything thightened up right and the last bolt i come to is the drivers side upper outer bush. I cant get it to tighten to 80 pounds it just pulls the ends of the control arm in.....Do I just need another control arm or is there something strange happening? I hate that it's always the last one!!!!! Does any one have one that they could spare in Melbourne. Cheers Rick
9  Technical Board / General Technical / upper control arm location spacer??? on: October 02, 2006, 10:07:55 AM
Hi, Hope someone can help. I am replacing the upper inner control arm bushes on my FC and need a upper control arm location spacer to install them. Tool number 3 A 5. That's whats in the book anyway. without it, it will be difficult to tighten the bushes without putting the control arm off centre. Does anyone have 1 which i doubt or does anyone know how i can do this another way. Any info would be greatly apreciated. Cheers Rick

10  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Is rare spares the only option???? on: September 13, 2006, 09:44:44 AM
Hi all, just wondering if Rare Spares is the only option for King Pins? I read in a recent post that OBSOLUTE SPARES in NSW is an option? Has anyone got there number or is there anyone in Melbourne doing them. Any help would be appreciated. Also is $80 the going rate for wheel cylinders?  Cheers Rick
