61  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Racing red heads?? Help Please on: August 27, 2006, 08:22:40 PM
Yeah Addo it will be a problem with the two gaskets at such high comp, maybe you could try a different rod and piston combo to  get less comp but it would be slightly less stroke?Huh failing that you could send the head to me in Darwin and i could find you another good head Tongue Grin Grin

68  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: original configuration on: June 27, 2006, 10:40:54 PM
Just took it to mvr and regoed it they didn't ask about ant mods, they have the engine number so i guess they know its a red motor.
But saying that ive had:
2.8 litre hilux regoed as a 2.4
S3 landrover went over the pits 3 time with a diferent body each time(wagon, Soft top and ute)
Wifes VH had 5 litre sticker on the air cleaner so that was a 308 instead of 253?Huh

i dont think thay have much of an idea. also a mates V8 landcruiser still has drums on the front?HuhHuh Tongue
69  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: original configuration on: June 27, 2006, 09:15:18 PM
You must have got the MVR guy on the wrong day, I,ve got all sorts of stuff over the pits and they dont even care, If your in darwin take it to C&H autoline and i think it wayne he will look after you!

Backloading is fairly cheep from Darwin or if you buy in the next week or two my father in law is driving his truck from Darwin to Vic with extra room. Or wait until i go to the summernats i could possibly deliver close to ACT or VIC

a little of topic but in the construction industry it seem steel goes up 10% about every six months, its hard to keep up with Roll Eyes

I'll be making my own soon to fit all VT suspension and stearing + V8. I'll take some pics.

PS Lional West (Rods right hand man) has gone out on his own now. Cheesy
