You should be proud Pete, this build is very innovative and impressive. It's certainly inspired me and a lot of other followers both on this forum and Facebook. Well done and keep up the good work!

Thanks for that Pete, it looks very neat. You did a good job flaring the pipe, I had a local exhaust guy flare some pipe for me but he couldn't get it anywhere near as neat as yours.

Looking good as usual Pete, what type of column is your mounting plate designed to suit?
Regards Ole.
68  For Sale and Wanted / Reproduction Parts / Re: FE - EK SILL PANELS on: August 12, 2013, 08:44:05 AM
This is the problem with forums. Some people take offence or read more into a post than was intended. As I said, I like the new sills and I also appreciate the effort of Les and Rare Spares for continuing to provide quality products for restorers and modifiers alike. I am not privy to Rare Spares stock list or manufacturing schedule and I did not realise that it was such a sensitive matter. I apologise if I upset anyone as it was not my intention. I will think twice next time before I pass comment or offer my opinion in future.

Perhaps I re-phrase that to your previous panels. I had a pair of Rare Spares sill panels that I couldn't use because the pressing was very distorted and the profile was poor. I don't mean to cause offence, this was just my experience.
Regards Ole.

They look very good, so much better than the current Rare Spares effort. I hope they are made from a thicker gauge metal than the current panels as well.

There's one on eBay at the moment located at Lonsdale in SA. Ex drag car complete minus motor and gearbox.

Definitely the same car, what a coincidence. I love the proportion of the chop and the old Skool white walls with the moon disc caps. Good luck with the engineer.

Hi Ian, I like your new car. Just out of interest, was this car on the back of a tilt tray in Adelaide recently? If I'm not mistaken I think I saw it out the front of Outlaw Speed Shop in Enfield last week. It certainly got my attention.

Regards Ole.

I can confirm that everything that I have bought from Spybo has been received and matches the description of the advertised article. He has also replied to every message that I have sent, not necessarily straight away, but in an acceptable time frame.
Regards Ole.

Good pickup Deano, they are getting hard to come by. Pre 68 327's had small journal main bearing crankshafts. Later model 327's had the same size journals as 350's etc. I'm a bit confused as to why you are hoping that it has a forged crank if you are thinking of stroking the motor. A 350 is basically a stroked 327, (they both have a 4" bore) so if you are thinking of stroking a small block why don't you start with a 350 and stroke it to 383?
