Gday Dean

Seeing as it's the truth, I'm trusting she wont find my simple observation and attention to detail offensive; it certainly wasn't meant to be.

Then again, she has been off her medication lately...

(the colour does seems to vary though; anything between scarlet and irridescent tangerine - but I'm certain that 'Rocket Red' is her current favourite  Smiley)

Really starting to look the goods now, Jack  Cool
Can we assume the blue on the engine cover will be one of the body colours?
Regards to you and Chris
cheers, jack n rita

Mike, the second one is better, but she had dyed red hair one one side of her forehead...  Wink
"Rocket Red" I think is the right colour...
All the rest is spot-on!!

284  General / General Board / Re: Merry Christmas to All on: December 25, 2010, 12:12:36 PM

Merry Christmas to all; and HO,HO,HO!!!  (specially to Ed  Wink)

Santa brought me a grouse calendar - it's got a paintings of an FC and Waynes FE on it!  Cool
Also a fantastic magic pudding, and some cool red motor dress-up bits  Cool

cheers
Jack n Rita

Looks great, Glenn  Smiley

Just one little bit of constructive criticism though; shouldn't the dog with the red eyes that light up when you apply the brakes be mounted inside the rear window?

cheers, jack

hmmmm......   lots of flack; lots of support; but no FE grille  Cry Cry Cry

maybe those FE owners are on to me - maybe they also know the FE grille is elegant simplicity...

(all I am trying to do is to combine the best elements of both models; i.e., an FC but with an FE grille...)  Wink Grin

oops, hang on - what's that on the horizon? is it heaps more flack heading my way??  have I just reduced my chances of getting an FE grille to something slightly less than zero??  Wink

288  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: WTB; FE grille and front indicators on: December 14, 2010, 06:24:46 PM

291  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: WTB; FE grille and front indicators on: December 13, 2010, 05:05:30 PM
Shocked

yeah I know I'm going to cop some stick from some people  Roll Eyes but I have to at least try...

(and anyhow; it could be much worse - it's not as if I'm fitting a pearl white interior or something equally as outrageous, tacky and tasteless...  Wink)

292  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / WTB; FE grille and front indicators on: December 13, 2010, 04:43:09 PM

Prefer rechromed and/or very good condition. Can swap for FC grille in ditto condition, or will have FC grille for sale if I can find a suitable FE set-up before car gets painted...

thanks, jack

Embarrassed  geez, the old timers really has set in....  I completely forgot it is the lead-up to Christmas!   Embarrassed

Kindly disregard  any and all denigrating remarks pertaining to FEs, big block 132s  (oops! 132.5), ladies with prams, old biddies, fox tails, 0 - 20mph times measured in hours, etc, etc   Kiss Kiss Kiss

and apologies to pop for running away with his thread...

295  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: 350 crank into 327? on: December 04, 2010, 09:53:24 AM
When Shelby installed the big block FE series in the Cobra their driver at the time (Ken Miles) came back from it's first test drive white as a ghost and deemed the car virtually undrivable due to the power output.

Kathi, thanks for refreshing my failing memory  Smiley

If Shelby used the same 'big block FE series 132.5' that I'm NOT familiar with [and dont forget that last 0.5; they need every last little bit...] it's no wonder it was 'deemed undriveable due to the power output'....

(probably got rear-ended by a lady with a pram while attempting 0-20mph times...)

cheers, jack (ignorantly blissful EXTRA big block FC 138 owner  Grin)

296  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: 350 crank into 327? on: December 03, 2010, 06:06:30 PM
Never, ever forget how scared the Shelby test drivers were when Carroll put the FE series motor in the Cobras!  Tongue

Kathi

it's embarrassing, but I've already forgotten... Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed
