22  Technical Board / Modification Help / Seat belts again on: November 22, 2006, 07:01:43 AM
I looked through the old post but didn't find anything i needed or didn't already know.  Huh

I know the size plates and bolts needed but what i couldn't find was the location to bolt them.

The front i guess just through the floor at the specified angle (as in the ADR list) but the rear seat, the one that will have the baby seat on it , it gets tricky because there is a near vertical section just behind the lower seat section, do i bolt through the vertical piece or go a bit higher and go into the boot and bolt through the floor??? also the rear shocky mounts are right where i would want to put the middle bolt has anyone done this where is the best spot. i need to get the baby seat in so i can go in the Darwin powercruise and get my ugly mug in streetmachine. (item # 7 on "things to do before i die" list.  Wink )

Thanks Russ

Hi guys im not sure if this is the spot for this but a mate of a mate has a fc sedan he is thinking of selling, it realy ruff but totaly original no rust repairs or paint and it has the original motor, box, and diff he has 4500 on it but is it worth more as it is totaly original?Huh.

I would hate to see some one buy it for parts which is likely to happen up here if anyone has a realistic price please reply.

27  Technical Board / General Technical / All torque!! on: November 15, 2006, 12:30:10 AM
Hey guys I'm hoping some one could shed some light on this one.

My dilemma is that i wont to build i motor that produces all its power in its lower rpm range. does this need a big or small carby, cam specs?? and i have heard that long narrow intake runners produce more torque??? i have no idea any help would be good.ha ha that rhymes. Cheesy

33  Technical Board / Modification Help / R&P steering front or back??? on: October 18, 2006, 09:59:16 AM
I know this has probably been done to death but i thought some fresh ideas might come up.

So what are the pros and cons for front or rear mount R&P.

Also has any wandered around a wreckers with a tape measure to find a rack that is a better fit than the clunka door one, maybe one of the million japo ones

i got my vt donor car running today (pored fuel down intake  Grin) it runs with fuel down its throat but will only idle ruffly on its own supply, it has sat empty for about two years so would it be the : pump, filter (cant find it) or the injectors. D all the above any help would be good so i cant strap it round the paddock (with our 70s BMW)
