21  General / Events, Shows etc / Re: Ballarat Cars n Coffee on: October 20, 2014, 11:05:54 AM
This is a great idea, very similar to the Donut Derelicts car show held every Saturday morning in  Huntington Beach in California. It is recognised as the longest running car show / get together in the world. Very informal, held in a shopping centre car park that includes a donut and coffee shop. People just roll up, park their cars and wander around checking out everyone else's ride and shoot the breeze. Should be more of these types of events.
22  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: HR FRONT END (I hate my car) on: September 24, 2014, 11:49:36 PM
I used HK/T/G steering arms on my rear mounted shortened commodore rack and I didn't have any clearance issues. From memory they are midway in length between HR and HQ.

Cheers Ole.

It's also on the cover of Gasoline Magazine Issue 19. Very nice car.

The windowless van looks like it is salvageable. Thanks for sharing.

I went to IKEA on the weekend and they have a retro looking display case. Rounded steel frame with 4 glass sides and glass shelves. It comes in 3 colours, cream, green, and grey. It costs $399.00. It might be worth a look if your interested.

31  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: 15 x 6 Chev rally wheels on: June 10, 2014, 09:49:29 AM
Hi Graeme, if you are going to go to the effort of changing the offset, you may as well have your centres fitted to new 6" wide rims. That is what I am going to have done to my front rims. That way I can get rid of the gutter rash on the 2 worst rims.

Regards Ole.

Nice subtle touch on the front panel.

Thank God others are experiencing the same problem. I thought it was a problem at my end. I was going to post an enquiry but I fell asleep waiting for the page to respond! Thanks for looking into it and good luck trying to sort it out.
Regards Ole.

Mine are 15 x 7, I'll keep an eye out for you. I was going to have the centres removed for the front wheels and placed in 6" rims. That may still happen if I can convince my son to stick with the steelies.

Looking good Graeme. I am building a wagon for my son, same colour but the other way around. I love the Chev Rallye wheels on it and the hubcaps. I have a set on the sons car at the moment so that we can move it around, but he doesn't like them. Must get his tastes from his mother! Good luck with the rest of the build.

Thanks Scott, that's the one I'm thinking of. I dropped into the one at Blair Athol and thought that the price was a bit steep too.

Cheers Ole.
