Hi all,
I am looking to sell my sedan which has had extensive modifications done to it over the years.
All mods were done by an ex S.A member John Barrett....basically involved grafting the motor/gearbox/wiring loom from a 10Km's VL into the FC
Other mods include, HR power assisted disc brake front end,EK auto column with column auto shifter linkages,front end strenthgener and welded side rails under body ,VL sspeedo,computers,KNairfilter,twin thermo fanned radiator with auto on thermostat and manual overide,14 inch whhels to suit FC hubcaps,wilsonia gauge,new sports exhaust,replacement interior from Glenn aka "STINKY",marinua heater and preslite switch,electric wipers,4 seatbelts retractable,laminated front screen.
Car needs paint n chrome and some minor body work done but is a driver.
The car was passed by the S.A RTA and a new compliance plate fitted to describe motor change.
Selling car for below what it cost to get it this far.

I have located a N.O.S visor in it's original box.
Skyline CYPLAS Vision Visor PT G1-976
Will fit all FE FC models.
Is a "solid " visor made up of the usual aluminium frame but with a see through dark green plastic body.
It is easy to install and can be adjusted when on the car.
I have photos which I can email to anyone interested.

Hi there,
Well what it has  is a new compliance plate on the door pillar that was put there by the RTA in Adelaide when it passed "over the pits" as we would say here.
Not sure what that would mean for NSW but you can ask your RTA.

The label does say it complies with the S.A Vehicle modifications laws and it also has a new VIN Identification number which was read off the RB30 motor.
FYI the plate was placed on 4/3/96
I can send you a picture of the plate if requested.

After much thought I am selling my modified ( full S.A. legal rego ) FC 1958 sedan with a stack of parts/memorabilia etc.... I have owned it  for 20 years. I bought it as a 1 owner car from the neice of the original owner and with it came the original sales document It has been extensively modified in that time. The car is solid but needs paint , chrome done and minor touch-up to complete. It is FULLY RTA approved here in S.A. What sort of rack are you putting in?.....I am having trouble putting in a racknpinion steering setup due to lack of room for clearance.

I may be able to add a litlle bit of history to your car......This is one I all but purchased back in circa 1986-7 ( I think ) from its' original owner who I remember ( ) was Mr Jack Henry....if this is the same one then good on you.
I went up to see this car back then and he had it in  his gagrage next to his son's Aston Martin.V8.
I put down a deposit on it and went back to Adelaide to arrange a bank cheque   ( $4500 )....I also went to the rego mob and reserved the Grand Prix plates "1958"  for it thinking why not.
Anyway when I went back with cheque in hand the old fella couldn't part with it so I left empty handed ( he did pay me for the trip etc and a little more than my deposit as an ex-gratia payment ). I felt sorry for him as I know how things are between man and car and back then fiding a one owner in great condition wasn't that difficult.....try that now!
Handed back the plates too....wish I had then as I now have a '58 anyway...but it's got it's original plates anyway ( and how I managed to get the original plates transfered to me is also another long winded story too...bloody beauracrats !!!)
So good luck bringing this old girl back to her best....he was a very careful car owner so it must be in great condition.....I think he went on to sell it locally to a "collector" but I lost interest after that moment in time.......And should have bought the next FE I saw from a guy called Henry Horn...also from down south....a great arron/cream low mileage immaculate car.....like I said plenty around them days......
