Title: Smiths Beehive heater
Post by: ACT59FC on January 11, 2016, 08:29:12 AM
Below Ive attached a pic of two rubbers that attach into a Smiths heater for the ducting. Mine are in pretty poor condition. Does anyone know of a mod or someone who has made up something to replace these rubbers?

To the best of my knowledge they are not reproduced and it is not often they are still with the heater
So if it was me I'd clean and lubricate them carefully and wrap them in cotton wool till you need them

Thanks Zulu, I know there are a lot of people out there with the smiths heaters, how do they direct the heat to the windscreen. (something very important in a cold place like Canberra)
There must be a modification out there somewhere?

Hi guys,
Thanks for the message Stewy!
I made a one off set for beehive to duct adaptors from fibreglass. You just mould the body and vent tubes. Quite a simple job. I can probably post a tutorial on here.

Havent made any vents for some time but will check my molds and supplies... been a bit busy on other projects.

Hey Ed.
If you ever knock up another set of beehive heater adaptors, I'd be interested in a pair.
