Title: Victorian Registration Requirements
Post by: darrenc08 on July 08, 2015, 04:27:55 PM
Hi,

Newbie here.

I am looking at bringing a mates FC down to Victoria from QLD.

Car has full reg in QLD and I will need full reg down here.

Car has aussie 4 speed and 186 motor and is registered with these in the car.

There is no engineers cert available as this was done in 1970 and cannot be found.

Do I need an engineers report to change the reg to my name down here?

Also the car has no seat belts will they be required for full reg down here.

Have tried Vic roads website but hard to find any real info on this? and after a 1 hour wait on the phone today gave up as well.

Any help, thoughts or comments greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Darren

You could have a case here, but it will be tricky without the engineers report. Try contacting Peter Koning. He is the AHRF TAC delegate. I know he's predominantly hot rods, but is up to speed on early Holdens as well.
I couldn't find his contact details right now but you should be able to locate him.
