hey Wayne,
Good question, managed to keep hinges clear so it will still open and will make a shallow alloy box,,should fit the rego papers in!! Gonna make two slide out drawers/trays under the front bench seat for the bigger stuff. Got some ideas from you re your air con compressor and finally got ours fitted in neatly by fixing the bottom bracket with the compressor on it and tensioning the belt with the alternator .will try get you some photos on weekend for you

Does't look like it belongs in this section... Is it registered and finished or bits to go? Love the colour combo.

Simo,

Photobucket is utterly hopeless these days - it's a wonder they're still in business.

Try imgur.com - very easy to create an account and creating an album is as easy as dragging and dropping your photos onto the page.

Gday Simo

Fantastic work on your FC, the old Vs the new pics's looks like a lot of time, $$$ and luv went into to build.

I like your under dash section, with gauges and (Is that A/C) controls & vents, is this timber and did you relocate the handbrake??
No problem for leg room??

Great work

Tim

Yeah what have you done with the hand brake and bonnet release?

Title: Re: Simo FC
Post by: Simo on April 30, 2016, 10:49:30 AM
(http://i.imgur.com/8iBmHVOl.jpg)  bolted the handbrake to the bottom of the fabricated fascia which is metal and fixed the hood release to the side pillar,no issues with leg clearance,we added a tacho ,oil pressure and temp gauges along with the vintage air vents and AC control panel

Thanks for the comments guys and apologise for not been up to speed with the photos and posts, family, work and cars seem to take up any spare time now days!
The car has come up a treat and really have to thank my dad Bruno for all his hard work,it was all completed under his family home right thru to the painting which he applied also (spies Hecker) 2 pack
The car now runs a fully rebuilt 202 which was sourced with a tri matic auto ,it had a specko floor shift in it when we found it but cut the tunnel out and fitted the bigger tunnel and auto,
Also fitted the Hr front end with disc brakes with a Gemini master cylinder, Vintage Air supplied the Air con that fitted neatly up under dash ,we kept the bench seat and trimmed the inside in a pearl white marine fabric, the wheel was done by pearl craft in Bega
We tried to keep the deep dish 13 inch rims that were on it in original photos but had clearance issues over the calipers so we settled on 15 inch Superlites,I think there is still some original photos on page 5 of cars under construction,
Anyway we hope you all like her,my wife has christened her "Frankie" ,and we wouldn't change a thing, she cruises great and seems to make people smile whenever we drive her ,thanks again dad,it has been a long five years but so worth it...
Simo
