Hey Gary, i have seen a guy at swap meets recently who is making them. They look just like the originals, i will get a pair from him the next time i see him if you like. I am not sure how much they are, i wouldn't expect they are too dear, this guy is a nice bloke. I will check it out.
 Cheers Scotty

Hi Guys, I am going to the Jindera Swap Meet next weekend and hope to see the guy who does them. If he is not there he will most probably be at the Wangaratta swap a bit later in the year. When i see him i will definatly have you all in mind.
Cheers Scotty

Hi Everyone,

Went to the swap yesterday and met up with Paul, who does the wing nuts. His Number is 03 94659196. I told him that there were a few of you interested.
 I hope this helps,
 Cheers Scotty

Thanks for the contact number Scotty ;), have tried a couple of times already without luck. Must be his home number so I'll try again tonight, I'll let you know how I get on and post how much he's asking for others that are interested.

If it's the same bloke, I got a pair off him at NSW All Holden Day swap, they are a bit more chunky than the orginal and are made out of alluminium with a helicoil thread, whereas the originals are steel or s/steel

50 a pair, seem ok, but I have yet to try them on a cover, for the unknowing, the knock off is the one on the right

Well Gary I had them on mine for a while but had trouble with the helicoil parting company with the wingnut, I tried loctite but had no luck after changing to a different alloy rocker cover the bloody helicoil let go again :(. I'll get around to looking at the problem when I get spare time so they are now sitting on top of a project motor in the shed.

Mick, I had the thread let go on one of my original wingnuts, so after the failure of one of your re makes I might be better re purposing mine

very expensive earplugs perhaps

Cheers, Gary

PS Let us know how you go with a fix

Try the 601 loctite. Sticks water to a boat
