Title: FE stamp
Post by: Hewart on July 05, 2006, 05:33:56 AM
Just got word that Australia Post is set to release a series of stamps on August 15th called "Driving through the years". There are 5 cars featured in the series, a TT Ford, Mini, Sandman, Land Rover..... and an FE...!!

I believe the usual range of mini booklets that go with new stamps will also be available...... Something to look out for!!

Cheers

Its interesting to note that they have used the people in the background that are from the EK advertising brochure.

It's definitely real - you can find it in the Stamp Bulletin here ($2).

And many people will be pleased to know there is another non-grey FE in the presentation (first day cover) version.

Just a reminder to go and get yourself some stamps while they're still around..... I almost forgot about them.....!!

They were launched last Tuesday...

Splurge and buy the little booklet version: $10.95

It's really well put together, with a lot of great background info, and if you get really desperate, there is $10 worth of stamps in it ::)

The wallet pack of FE stamps also has a different image on the cover (the cream/red car shown in the margin of the image above) - the actual stamp image is the one inset in this pic.

cheers
