Title: Paint Code/Trim Code Matrix???
Post by: Ute-opia on August 01, 2002, 12:05:59 AM
My FC ute is being re-christened in "Hialeah Green" (paint code 350) but I'm wondering which trim code(s) rolled off the production line with this colour???

Lagoon Green? Cool Green? Italian Green & Lymph Green? Peacock Green & Dolphin Green? Tasman Green & Egret Ivory?......or were there "complimentary colours" that weren't even green?

I appreciate that utes didn't come with many/any of these and that utes didn't come in Hialeah Green either but I'm more interested in getting a "factory combination".  (I can always fib then and say my grand-dad was a Holden executive in 1959 and this was a "special one-off"......and except for the fact that I'm a Yank, someone might believe me!)  :o

....Also, what colour "wind lacing" should I order from rare spares???  What was available back then, "Henry Ford Black"???  ;)

There was a bit of discussion about ute colours here: http://www.fefcholden.org.au/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=resto;action=display;num=1013380047

Long and short is that Hialeah Green wasn't a ute colour, only Duchess Green and Ice Green.  Ute interiors being what they were (single-tone vinyl), there was only one green option, called "Dravo Green".

You can find the list here: http://www.fefcholden.org.au/techinfo/fctrims.html

An original FC ute interior looks like this:

Oh, and in answer to your other question, windlacing is indeed black with either silver or gold fleck.  According to a recent thread RS have limited supplies of one of them, but plenty of the other.

Thanks Richard,
That's one awesome looking ute cab!  I'll do my best to emmulate that......but I'd still like to pretend that once upon a time utes came in "Hialeah Green" and so I'd like to select one of the trims that used to be paired up with this u-beaut colour?  I probably didn't pose the question very well though.  I reckon I should have written, "My granny used to get around in a Hialeah Green sedan but I can't quite recollect the interior?".....and as sure as rain within 15 minutes you or Ken would have had a photo posted of the interior, the trim code, and probably even my granny at the wheel!  (how do you guys do it??)  :o
