12th Nationals will be held at Mount Gambier South Australia between Friday 21st March 2008 to Monday 24th March 2008.


We have available more info packs about Mt Gambier and the Limestone Coast.  If you would like us to send you a pack please email Steve & Trudy Johnson at Marlow9@bigpond.com.au or phone 08 8723 2239 and we will send one out in the post.  The info packs include several booklets and information guides on the local area.  If you would like to get in early and book the accommodation the Quality Inn International is ready to take your booking on 08 8725 9699 or tollfree 1800 088 877 or check them out online at  www.internationalmotel.com.au  

The Quality Inn International is where the event will be based and there are only 60 rooms available at this motel.  So first in best dressed.  The second preference is the Quality Inn Presidential which has 53 rooms and is located just down the road.  They are also ready to take bookings on 08 8724 9966 or visit them online at www.qualityinnpresidential.com.

We have received some feedback from people trying to book their accommodation that they are getting the immediate response from the Motels that they are booked out at Easter 2008.  Please advise the Motels that you are with the FE & FC Holden Nationals to avoid this response.

I have booked a 2 room split ( 2 rooms with a dividing door ) for me and my parents in law at the PRESEDENTIAL.

They apparantly were unaware of the event, had NO bookings as yet and are closer to the town of Mt Gambier.

Approx $175/ night for 2 rooms, I think is a bargain.

Uh, place luggage in boot, kids in back seat.  Check car out of gear, engage starter, choke as necessary.  Fuel up, point car vaguely south.  Follow signs to Mt Gambier.   If you find water in fuel, you've gone too far south ;D

Good to hear Surferboy....all I gotta do, is get the 2nd paint job finished, car re-dressed in all it's jewellery, fit the interior and then the front and back windows, a few test miles, a tweak here and a tweak there, and I'll be set to join you on the big trip !

It's about the trip anyway mate....not the car.   I'd rather make the trip in a rusted out bucket than not make the trip at all !

Got a call from hotel to pay for confirmation of booking and found out we got a _spa room not THE SPA room i thought i had (geez you gotta be real quick) Guess its called a cosy spa

We got that call too, the Quality Inn International (Nationals HQ) is now completely booked out.
Quality Inn Presidential and the Tower Motor Inn are the two next closest to the International.

Hey Surferboy.
I'm sure that if you promise that, they should be able to arrange it.
Just remember to pack your wig, you wouldn't want the boys to drive that far and be disappointed.  :o ;D

Wig or no Wig we are always dissapointed. Surferboy has been on the naked lady thing for about six months now. We were thinking of making him the social member for the club, but hey he can not even organise naked ladies or topless bar wenches 1 night a month.

Surferboy finally came through with the goods, unfortunately he arrived late and missed happy hour and the topless barmaid. Our President obviously had the beer goggles on early and took a bit of a shine to the young lass.

Apparently she enjoyed herself so much that she is coming to every meeting and club run from now on and will coming to the "Nationals". She is going to work on her tan between now and then so she can wear the FC 50th B/Day LTD Edition "G" Banger at presentation night and some mega rare NASCO jewels.

I did here Surferboy mutter something about "You Thought My Karaoke Was Bad" (Jindabyne 2005) not sure about the actual conversation he was having, but I suspect this was just a preview.

All I can say is that Mt Gambier might be in for a little Priscilla.
