Title: RADIATOR SUPPORT PANEL (CUT FROM FRONT SUBFRAME) Post by: Chuck on April 22, 2006, 12:31:52 AM Hi Everyone
I am at the stage of installing my radiator and am trying to locate the section of front subframe (the radiator support panel?) that the radiator bolts to. My existing one has been badly butchered by the previous owner to the point that I am only left with a 10mm lip of the old panel where it meets the inner guard. Ideally I am hoping that someone has a rust free section that they can cut from a subframe that may otherwise be rusty. If you can help out, please PM me here or maybe give me a call on 0400 474 324. Cheers - Chuck Title: Re: RADIATOR SUPPORT PANEL (CUT FROM FRONT SUBFRAM Post by: Chuck on April 22, 2006, 12:34:26 AM Alternatively, if someone does have a particularly good rust free subframe that is complete, straight and is close to Sydney, I would also be interested.

Title: Re: RADIATOR SUPPORT PANEL (CUT FROM FRONT SUBFRAM Post by: fccool59 on April 23, 2006, 10:08:57 AM I think a 12 guage gives a shot peening affect to strengthen the steel since it doesnt have the ribs to strengthen it.
My neighbours would probably complain about the noise if i did it here. I have one that has been cut for a red motor radiator, eg eh-torana-kingswood. I dont think it has rust as they rarely rust there, if you are ever around seven hills there is always a grinder and drill around to cut it out, most of the rest of that subframe is pretty ro*&ed.
