All too easy and a common swap. Title: Re: HR diff housing in a Fc wagon ?? Post by: fccool59 on March 20, 2006, 01:15:55 PM cant remember as last time I changed was about 9 years ago.
the HR has a wider spring so you may need to cut into the four holes were it would bolt to the spring and elongate the hole towards the centre if you are using the fc bottom plates that bolt to the shocks. There are a few ways people have them mounted with a combo of fc and /or hr bits. Also the brake line may be on the wrong side, the tab may need to be cut of and welded to the other side were the brake line attaches to the diff housing. As I said I am not sure as its been ages but it is a simple straightforward and very common conversion. Title: Re: HR diff housing in a Fc wagon ?? Title: Re: HR diff housing in a Fc wagon ?? Post by: TorqueFC on March 21, 2006, 01:14:21 AM it will bolt straight up, but you will need to use either hr plates or ek ones (fb onwards have wider springs). the rest of it wont be to hard to work out once youve got it under the car!
