Title: lucas to bosch headlight conversion

hi

i`m trying to go from lucas to bosch headlights..

i have nos bosch headlight surrounds and globes .
i have EK bosch dome globe backings ( are these the same as fc ? )

so what other parts would i need to complete this conversion ?
can any help me  ???

Hi Coolaride,

when you say dome globe backings do you mean the black buckets? I think EK are slightly different and need a bit grinding off to look like FE.  I have spare FE Bosch buckets and trim rings (the part that holds the globe to the bucket) if you get stuck. Other than that you just need the 3 small metal plates and screws that hold the globe into the trim ring and you are set.  I can post a photo over the weekend if this would help..

thanks for the reply... yes i did mean the black buckets..
if you have spare bosch buckets and rings .. that would be great !

here is a pic of a Bosch set-up which I have put together for my ute. Pretty much all there I think apart from the rubbers which I have never found (the stuff of Legend...). I haven't included the headlamp surround as they are pretty much at every swap meet, and note this pic includes the new halogen globe which fits into the original fittings. You can also add a park light if you wish.

Will send you PM regarding similar parts but thought it might be useful to post the pic here..
