has anybody done any research into after market cruise control units? I am looking for a decent one, preferably stalk mounted. any ideas? the commodore ones will work but only really with other commodore bits and bobs including the dash. not sure how the "divide by 5" pulse signal is used either. i will just google something up. ive got 2 pulse signals already ( 1 for VSS and 1 for speedo) so im usre i can use this to my advantage rather than use the "magnet stuck on drive shaft" system to measure speed. Bit of a luxury really as I am anticipating doing some cruisy highway driving and want soem good economy and no speeding tickets. Cheers Ed Title: Re: Cruise control Post by: fccool59 on February 02, 2006, 07:48:30 AM I had after market cruise control in the FC, cost around $170, think the brand was command, it was easy to set up, I didnt want the modern stalk so I wired it up to to buttons in the top of the door next to the power window switches, that way I could go up and down 1.5 k/ph with my arm still sitting on the door.

Leon, lucky your car has the FC COOL plates, other wise you may need to re-locate your switches closer to the steering wheel. or you could move your wheel towards your door I spose.. like an LC/LJ torana. ;D John, my motorbike has a cable cruise control mechanism.. not good. the old GSX1100 is a bit of a widow maker I think.
