Title: streetneats parts sale
Post by: streetneat on January 25, 2006, 09:40:51 PM
I am clearing out the shed/s of all my  collection of FE, FC  FB , EK parts. Also some HT HG. I have  dozens of panels and parts. Smaller parts I can send in the post. I also have a lot of grey motor parts - both complete and incomplete motors- all good for parts only - I cant say what would suit reco. I have a huge pile of diffs and front ends that need a new home as well.
I am surrounded by developers here and its only a matter of time b4 I have to move  on. I want to clear away all the cars and parts that I know I will never use. Once I have finished my Chopped EK van later this year and my HG Ute - I will  not be doing  any more early holdens....( I have said that b4!)

Ring me on  (07) 3206 0340 or 0412 032 239. I will be reasonable with my prices ( especialy with the  grey  mechanical parts!)  but I  dont need smart arses ringing up  thinking Im giving the stuff away. I have 5 years  to clear this stuff so Im not in any great hurry.
Cheers streetneat- Andrew.

Not only is Andrew reasonable with his pricing, he is more than helpful in getting the right part for you.

Thanks Andrew for finding me a good set of Quarter Windows.
The effort you went to finding me a good set, then cleaning, fixing and polishing them...taking a photo and emailing me all in the one day is greatly appreciated.

My best friend up in Mandurah WA, recently bought Streetneats, Red EK sedan that was recorded and detailed on his website....This car was immaculate which pretty much sums up the quality of the parts and help that Andrew has shown me.

Thanks again.

Mark

Thanks for the positive feed back Mark. Add to that posted today as well!- It did involve a bit of two wheel stunt driving in the car park- double parking  and  just making the last  postal pick up within the last ten minutes... The WB stato wont  be the same after that heh heh..
I apreciate your kind comments  and hope the windows live up to your expectations.  Im sure they will be fine.
Cheers streetneat- Andrew.

Yep I will have  some Ute  door glass- I would have to  clean one up and see what its like-  I should be able to post it- takes a bit to break toughend glass. Give me a ring on (07) 3206 0340.

I just sold  two 1/4 windows to Mark in WA yesterday. I have more with great frames but there will be a little rusty   stain on the hinges - so they are quite good but not concourse.  I have both left and rights. These would be the most common thing I am asked for so these will run out first. give me a call on (07) 3206 0340 and I will 'see what I can do for you. ( Its easier to describe whats there  on the phone-  as Im not in  front of the parts on the computer!)
Cheers streetneat -Andrew.

Andrew,

Just received the Quarter Windows.......Very Nice, thank-you very much.

Just for the record though, I think I paid too much.   I reckon you could have save about $100 on just 2 metres of bubble wrap not 102 ( lol ) ;D :D ;D :D ;D

Seriously though....the windows were REALLY well wrapped and packaged ( don't think they moved a inch ), and as described....very happy !

Thanks Andrew......much appreciated !

Cheers

Mark

Your welcome Mark... Yeah I'm annoyed at  using  so much bubble wrap - some other parts I sent away were wrapped in old masking paper!
When you see what Aust post are capable of breaking - you don't take chances!
Thanks again for the positive feedback -
Cheers streetneat -Andrew.

Hi Andrew, got the glass and door cards yesterday.
Much better than my glass. Thanks for all the help. Will send some pics of the coilover rear end whenever I get it done.
                            Cheers Glenn

Phew!
I'm relieved it got there in one piece and it was better than yours. I'm always nervous about others expectations  of  the condition of 40 plus year old parts.
Cheers streetneat- Andrew.

hey bloke (andrew)
I called you the other night regarding the HOLDEN FC bonnet letters, the grill frame and possibly an out rigger (for HR Cross to FC) Just wondering if your home on Sunday 12th or monday 13th for me to be able to swing by for a couple of deals and check out what else I can buy without the misses knowing?
cheers, nes138

Gday nes
Monday would be better- ring before you come on 3206 0340. I can remove an out rigger  prior for you - just give me some notice by phone. I get into deep doo doo with  Mrs neat  if caught dealing on sundays- which is strangely only allowable if the wife is working - but Mondays are better....
I can  wrap your items in plain brown paper to avoid  wife  detection or public humiliation...oh and the car parts... :P
Cheers streetneat-Andrew.

Mate that could not have worked out better....
I'm down that way on Monday any way (when the misses is working) As for parts detection- the car is stripped and most parts are in the boot. She doesn't know what parts are in there. I pick up a bonnet mascot two weeks ago and didn't notice..... but if she does.....
And now she thinks some FC parts are a good valentines present. She couldn't be more correct!
The other half is a cleaning NAZI too. As long as the parts are out of site then i'm in the clear.

Yes please on the out rigger, thats a definite. i'll call you before I come down (prob Friday) to organise a time and address
let me know what kind of deal your looking for for the parts.

I have a lot of badges - all of them with varying amounts of blisters. I have hung onto these as technology marches on - they are repairable- but they are still perfecting the process the last I heard.

One option now open is to lightly blast them - remove the blisters -  bog up any imperfections and paint them in Chrome paint- ( the new stuff that  is a close match to chrome)I have seen this done - but I  don't personally really know anyone  that would go to such lengths.

So if you have no badges at all I can sell you some of the better ones for $5-$10 each -But be warned they are not perfect. At least the badges will match up with the factory holes. The repro ones when they used to be available didnt.

Cheers streetneat -Andrew

Gday Dean
I actually have a spare full set of new glass I had made for the wife's FC sedan. I want $650 for it.(my  cost)  It includes  four door windup windows and the four 1/4 windows front and back. All the glass has been CNC cut and has polished edges- that  virtually doubles the cost of the glass- so beware of cheaper hand cut and hand harrassed (linished edges) windows!

Second hand glass is a waste of time.  Although I have plenty!I even went to the trouble of getting new stuff made made by Pilkington with the water mark standards stamp on it- (required by law) AND its toughened glass with a slight green tint  so it matches the factory  rear glass which has more green tint than the factory side glass and matches perfectly with  new windscreens.

An example of this glass can be seen  on my website-  www.streetneat.com -as fitted to  Mrs streetneats FC sedan. I went to this expense as we  want  glass that was superior to the factory glass and would not  tear up the new bailey channels.
Its details like this that we put into our cars that enable us  to insure them  for  a lot more than  average. Also its these details that  give you the feeling of driving a brand new old car- glass is very important in my book  and it shouldn't be overlooked ( pardon the pun)

Apologies for the rant reply to your simple request- I'll send you a pm anyway - and seeing as you asked first  you get  first preference- but I thought I would make others here aware of what I had to clear out - I m not building any more FC's so I dont need the spares.

Cheers Andrew- streetneat. (07) 3206 0340

andrew, cheers for the response and i dont consider it a rant, but very descriptive and helpful. shame your not doing any more FC's as you do quite a job. i am very tempted with the glass. i will  make a decision quite soon, and let you know so someone else can grab them if i dont.

i will probably give you a call before the wekends out.

thanks again
dean

Andrew,
I didn't realise that you were running the shop down that way. As i'm only on the North side of Bris I've only heard of it. Checked out the wed site though and it looks like I could get in the poo for spendin far too much money there.
I was also just wondering (If you can) can I exchange the HR Crossmember I have with one from you that has the ehej outrigger and moved engine mounts set up for FC with 186? and if so what price am I looking at for that?
thanks mate

Sorry for the slow response- the notification of replies must have been turned off- or the missus  got to it b4 me!
I can arrange a swap  of one of my front ends for one with the eh outrigger and engine mounts- but as I also have to shell out for this  and rely on my mate to deliver its a bit of a procedure...but can be done.
Leave it with me and I will see what I can do- please ring me to remind me on 3206 0340.

Yeah I'm winding the  shop up- or down   whichever applies... Ive had enough of charity resto work. Plus the fact the developers are moving in makes it an easier decision... It may take a while to be rid of all my parts though. I will continue to help out others where I can with advise and  small jobs and parts location.
Cheers streetneat-Andrew.

I have not a chance to cut the our rigger out  just yet- I spoke to my mate with the front ends this morning - he will have a look and see what he has later this week. ( I wont hold me breath though - I have to keep onto him to get  things from him.)
I will hopefully hear from you tommorow.
Cheers streetneat-Andrew

I have a few EK front ends- so as they have the same outrigger as an EJ EH I will see what I can cut out for you. I will have to closely look at whats left in the pile of front ends...
Cheers Streetneat- Andrew- hope you saw your  genourous  tip ( over payment) returned!
