Title: '58 FC PANEL VAN - WINDOWLESS Post by: cajerridoc on January 22, 2006, 07:48:13 AM From the Cajerridoc Stable comes this delightful offering: 1958 FC Panel Van - Windowless
FC2104-6945-A Trim 351-655 Paint 256-2031 Top 333 I bought this van to finish the restoration and ended up buying another van that was already complete. The van is as I bought it. The grey motor is fitted with extractors and twin carbys. The carbies look very clean as if they may have been reconditioned. The motor and engine bay have also been repainted. There are new front floor sections and repairs done to the rears. The body is currently in primer with a dust coat over it. There is some work to still be done to the sills and the front guards require work to the 3 corners. The quarter panels look to be very straight and the doors show no rust. The interior will need to be recovered and a set of window and door rubbers will need to be added. 98% of the parts to complete the van are there including chrome and glass. $4500 ono This car is located in Myponga South Australia. PH 0401 124 285 or send a PM to me for more information. Isn't strange that you don't see a windowless van for sale for ages and suddenly there are 2.
Title: Re: '58 FC PANEL VAN - WINDOWLESS Post by: cajerridoc on February 12, 2006, 04:08:43 AM The van is now for sale on ebay. If it doesn't sell there it will be off the market.
Robin Title: Re: '58 FC PANEL VAN - WINDOWLESS Post by: cajerridoc on February 26, 2006, 06:16:34 AM Well I managed to get what I wanted for the van at the ebay auction. Getting the guy to answer his phone or return a call or SMS is proving to be almost impossible.
It is definitely one thing to sell on ebay and another to get the money. He is treating it just like he is responding to an add in the paper. He made two appointments to inspect the car and did not turn up on either time and now he want 4 weeks to pay after the auction stipulated 6 days. Yet all his feedback says he is a very contactable and prompt angel. I might as well have advertised it in the paper if I wanted to be screwed around like this! Robin Title: Re: '58 FC PANEL VAN - WINDOWLESS Post by: SRVLIVES on February 26, 2006, 06:36:32 AM Neg feedback his ass... then re-advertise it!
There seems to be a glut of knobheads buying on ebay at the moment, I've had a gutful! >:( Title: Re: '58 FC PANEL VAN - WINDOWLESS Post by: 4hammers on March 01, 2006, 12:45:21 PM Hi Robin.
I agree with SRV. Neg him & then see if he gets his shite together. Tell him that you will withdraw the neg if he finalises the deal. You may well cop a neg in return, but if you state the reason for the neg & in the "Reply" to the one he may well give you, place "Retalitory Neg given, bad trader", this will warn others off him. These guys just piss me off. I just had a guy email me asking my "If your EH is so good, why are you selling it?". Man, there are some F***heads about! >:( >:( Rob J Title: Re: '58 FC PANEL VAN - WINDOWLESS Post by: cajerridoc on March 04, 2006, 08:08:52 AM Well I have registered a dispute and might get some of my ebay fee back.
This is the 3rd time that I have had a buyer for this car and the third time the buyer pulled out. I think I am destined to keep this car. Robin Title: Re: '58 FC PANEL VAN - WINDOWLESS Post by: cajerridoc on March 05, 2006, 08:53:58 AM Enough! And yes perhaps I will keep the van, but you never now in this game just what is around the corner.

Title: Re: '58 FC PANEL VAN - WINDOWLESS Post by: cajerridoc on March 14, 2006, 02:53:08 AM Sorry,
This van is now off the market. I have found a new use for it. I do have another one that is a rolling body shell including doors, guards, bonnet and tailgates. This can be either an FC or FE van. It has new front floors and sills fitted and the sills line up with the doors and guards properly. It currently has window holes cut in the sides but I have all the original bits from another van to restore it including the uprights. The shell has been stripped and is in primer so all dents and rust are visible. If there is any interest I will post some pictures. If not it will stay in the shed with the rest of them. Price would be around the $2000 plus mark. Title: Re: '58 FC PANEL VAN - WINDOWLESS Post by: cajerridoc on March 14, 2006, 03:06:47 AM Can't PM you FATBOY. Just get errors.
