Dunno about that Rob, you only need to find another 8 Nasco  seat belts and there yours!!!!

Seriously though, this takes the cake of the most overpriced item I have ever seen on eBay. Incredible.

What ARE these people thinking????

Cheers,

Craig.

What about this one?  You'd have to be a Mug to post the opening bid.

OK you win.

This sign is just ridiculous. Beyond belief.

Hi Guys.
Kev, yes I have that sign on my "Watched Items List". I too think it is over the top, BUT, recently a little round plywood GMH dealer sign that was about 40cm across, went for $1875!
So, I am just waiting to see who will be the biggest patsy.

As for the mugs, I suppose they could be classed as imported! They are made in Taiwan!

Just reading this post, so I went to the cupboard and pulled out the set I've got.  They are identical and still have the tags on them.  Be lucky if they were worth 50 bucks................................ Mum bought them for me back in about 1986 - bad quality!!!

Tayz.
Email the fella selling the others & ask him if he wants to pay $1,000 for your set. You never know, he may take them thinking he has about $7,000 worth of collectable mugs.
You gotta admit, a lot of the "Mugs" on ebay are priceless!

Hi guys,
The last set of these mugs I think sold for around $80 on ebay that was 6 or so month ago and  i thought they a tad expensive and left them alone. How wrong was I the stock exchange couldn't give that sort of return. Lets see if they sell

Hi. I brought the set before the ones Mick is talking about on ebay for $60.00. They came with a box. I was shocked at the next ones going for $80.00 with no box. So if any body want them, they can have them for $1200.00
Cheers Peter.

Yeah, I'd be singing for a fair while too.  Especially if someone took me up on the "Buy It Now" offer...  Unbelievable.

You just have to wonder, Huh?
With a username like that, they sound like they may be confused about themselves being are up there with the angels, when in fact they are more than likely, off with the fairies!

I think both these sellers must have failed maths at school - neither of them seem to understand the correct use of the decimal point.  ???   ::)

I'm not sure these ebay mugs would even be worth say $35. I'm pretty sure I've seen similar such mugs going for less at the local gift shop up in The Glen Shopping Centre. Maybe the ebay seller meant to quote '2000 cents' (using 2 cent coins) as the starting bid instead of $2000 !! :P

Pure gold fellas...!! I'm thinking of starting an "ebay watch" page in our newsletter.... Not just for thses types of things, but the variety of stuff going these days is unreal!!

I'd already seen the sign, but not the mugs...! Beautiful!!

Have you seen these too BTW.... He might have more luck selling them 1 at a time. It would take ages to move all this to your place, if you had somewhere to store it that is!

I've also got these babies in my "watch" list... love to see if any of them go

Cheers
Les...

He is a whacka, no doubt. He hands out Negs like lollies as well, so I wouldn't bother dealing with him. Hit a guy with a neg for a late payment of.....wait for it.....$9.99! What a bastard!

How about this one, I bid on this for a mate, look at the high bidder, joined ebay day after item was listed, bids it all the way through bumping the price up and wins the item over me...... then I get offered a second chance day after auction end!

i always am amused at  ebay - I don't shop there myself- I am a little too attached to my wallet. What gets me is the claim of Genuine Hubcaps- so does this mean there are non genuine ones available? I just sold 14 HR hubcaps  for $40... 3 0f them appeared to be new...and they came in a box with real spiders!
Bugger!... streetneat -Andrew...

Ahhh, but were they "Genuine Nasco" Spiders, Andrew ;D ;D

Isn't it funny how even the non-rarest items are put up as "Rare Genuine GMH Nasco".
There was one guy who did this for an FE FC Oil-bath air cleaaner. RET emailed letting him know EVERY FE FC produced had one. The guy replied to RET, that he thought it was rare, because he had never seen one before! ::) ::)

some ppls interpretation of rare and genuine differ from the mainstream. Some parts I reckon are hard to get are common as said nasco spiders elsewhere... and Vice versa... Dunno if it helps but my spiders have only one head. :P
BTW I also have many external  oil filters for greys and many oilbath filters (sorry no fittings as such) - so they are not rare in my shed....
Cheers  Streetneat- Andrew...
