Quote RE: 2006 Bathurst International Motor Festival (BIMF) – 13-16 April Easter 2006 Bathurst will play host to the inaugural Bathurst International Motor Festival. Modelled on the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Event aims to showcase the latest products from stakeholders involved in the motoring industry from manufacturers to car care products. The BIMF will have a similar format to an International Motorshow with a festival type atmosphere incorporating areas designed to cater for the interests of all motoring enthusiasts. The Mt Panorama circuit itself will feature an extensive on-track program including Historic Touring Car racing, GT Sports Car Racing, manufacturer demonstrations, parade laps, entertainment sessions and dedicated track time for public hotlaps. Bathurst Regional Council and the Promoter have committed to an extensive festival program within the city of Bathurst also. A unique opportunity exists for your car club to participate in this exciting new Event. Where possible, we are prepared to tailor a package to meet the needs of your club. Depending on your interest and availability we can negotiate a range of options. However, to aid in planning we want your club to include the BIMF in your 2006 calendar. The Event is offering campground sites and pre-purchased four day tickets at the reduced rates of $20 and $40 respectively to all car clubs (this represents a 20% saving). In addition, if your club purchases 100 tickets and brings 50 cars to the Event we will provide you with a dedicated display area within the circuit. If you purchase 150 tickets and display 75 cars the Event will give your club a dedicated parade lap of the Mt Panorama circuit along with a display area. Camping for Children under 12 is $10 per child and admission to the circuit is free when accompanied by a paying adult. A unique commemorative ticket will be produced which will only be distributed to the car clubs who have pre purchased tickets and officials. At this stage we are seeking expressions of interest from car clubs to ensure there is no double up of categories and types of cars that participate. To register your interest or for further information please call Suellen Roache-Jones on 0414 225 305 or register via email at info@bimf.com.au. We look forward to your involvement in what will be a spectacular Event at the home of Australian Motorsport. Yours sincerely James O’Brien Event Director |
