Title: FE Wrecking
Post by: ChrisB on June 20, 2002, 11:17:26 PM
Hi Guys,

I have been told today of an FE sedan that has turned up in the last couple of days at the Bargo wreckers NSW. A mate who lives nearbye will check it out and hopefully I will be able to post more info before the weekend run. The wreckers are on the old highway, very easy to find.

:)G/day Ken I went to bargo wreckers and seen the old
FE Special. It is very rusted and the windows are missing the interior is  in a bad state. the man said the engine is realy good, he said,  he had it going.
I got the numbers off the Id plate and it reads FE225.
Trim 4/582. Paint 253/6258. and I think its the chassis NO. 48980 I hope this helps. Regards Leon. ;)

Thanks Leon,

My mate got to it on Sunday 23/6 and his comments were the same as yours except he said the stainless trim was o/k.

The only number difference he got was paint 253- 6258 top, and the could not get the chassis number.
Body ID FE 225 - 18930

hope this helps

Thanks guys - between the 2 replies - I should be able to piece together the cars history.

An original all black FE special sedan with red and red interior.  Most likely was a government car originally as they seemed to have a monopoly on ordering these unusual cars.
