I was in Brisvegas for work a couple of weeks ago, travelling along the motorway and what do I see in the distance? A bloody FC Crewman, that's what!!! We overtook you but I was in suit and tie mode so didn't think it was the done thing to hang out the window and shout my love for your car. Its good to see this amazing creation has ended up in the right hands - someone who appreciates it! Cheers, Craig. Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: 4hammers on November 04, 2005, 11:03:48 AM Don't worry, Earlee.
A VERY cool car indeed. This bloke wouldn't know a good car if it hit him. I can bet it took him at least half an hour to think up such an in depth observation. He wouldn't have had any grey matter left to manage to leave his name. Hmmmm, imagine THAT bullbar cleaning something up :o Rob J Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: TorqueFC on November 04, 2005, 11:18:03 AM its not exactly my cup of tea-but i admire the amount of work/time and effort that has been put into it!!
very kool ride!! F-N-C get a life!!, and keep your comments to yourself Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: nicko on November 04, 2005, 11:51:18 AM heh ricer, how can you call it an ugly so and so.
its an awsome machine even if you dont like the look of it its an FC with a hell of a lot of imagination and skill gone into it. Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: zulu on November 04, 2005, 05:03:43 PM Earlee, Hope you untie that dog from the bumper before your next trip :o

I bet this is the kind of car where people look, look again, then just stare, open mouthed. Earlee, you have my thumbs up. ;) I'm very interested to know what's powering it. Congratulations on your purchase. Regards, Ol_Girl_58 Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: customFC on December 10, 2005, 11:42:12 AM I have removed several posts from this thread.

Post by: oldgmh on December 10, 2005, 12:34:23 PM Aaaww
c’mon guys …. how about you appreciate it for what it is … ;D ;D I obviously missed some of the posts regarding my crewman however controversy is part of life and it takes all types to make it. For those interested it is a full size sedan with a full size ute body - powered by a trimatic 3.3 with airconditioning. It was built for a purpose, which was and is to raise funds for under-privileged kiddies. :D :D Here is a pic of the ute in its heydey – and it will continue to be used as such.. 8) 8) Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: nicko on December 10, 2005, 01:10:17 PM man thats an awsome photo, notice the car is still sitting well with all that weight over the arse end
must be a very hard ride. great to see and hear that it still does charity work too. cheers Nicko Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: oldgmh on December 10, 2005, 09:53:00 PM sorry about the size of the pic - how do I make it smaller to post? >:(

Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on December 10, 2005, 10:14:41 PM Quote sorry about the size of the pic - how do I make it smaller to post? >:( You need to load the pic into a picture editing program and adjust the size. I think irfanview is one of the more popular free programs. Here's one I prepared earlier ;D (http://tinypic.com/idrty0.jpg) Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: nicko on December 10, 2005, 11:05:25 PM i gotta ask.
is it a trick shot of HC behind ute or is it really in tray? Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: oldgmh on December 11, 2005, 01:53:09 AM thanks Stinky for the correct size pic. ;D
Would you mind deleting my large pic as I cant seem to modify it now, as it has been posted. ??? Its not a trick shot - check the variety bash site for details http://www.varietyqld.org/Bash/xxxxbash.htm ;D ;D Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: RET on December 11, 2005, 07:54:18 AM Thanks Alex for sorting this. I didn't see what got posted, probably just as well it seems ::) Reported to Moderator 3 times in the space of 15 minutes, must be a new record.
Anyway, the oversize pic has been removed, and f-n-c has been banned permanently. Can't see the point banning him for a week or month, since he only seems to fly in very occasionally and take a dump on this thread... cheers RET Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: 186RED on December 13, 2005, 04:22:37 AM i'm not big on it personally - but i gotta say - it's a damn sight cooler than driving a $50k piece of GM plastic.
Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: Tailshaft_Tim on October 29, 2015, 02:22:13 PM G'day Guys Just a very late follow up to see if anyone knows if this FC Crewman is still around? I've read that 'oldgmh' bought it in 2005 but can't find any reference to it since. I think I might have even seen at a FE-FC Nats. Is it still doing the charity rally circuit? Next June, I'm going to raise dust and dollars on the 2016 Super Endeavour Rally which goes via outback QLD to Alice Springs for the Finke Desert Race, Uluru, Lake Eyre and back via Birdsville. I would love to enter an FC Holden or failing that, go the other end and enter a VL (the newest model allowed under the 30 year rule). Cheers, Tim Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: collecta on October 29, 2015, 09:07:38 PM Hi Tim, If you were at the 13th Orange Nats (which i think you were) it was also in attendance.
cheers Scott Title: Re: Holden's first crewman. Post by: Tailshaft_Tim on October 30, 2015, 04:55:47 AM Thanks Scott I do remember seeing it at the Orange Nats (it was an opinion polariser). I'm sure I also saw that it participated in a few QLD Variety Bashes. I did the VIC Variety Bash in 2013 and will enter next year as it's going from Melbourne to Darwin. So I'd love to know if it's available. Cheers, Tim |
