Just a short note that there is a car show/picnic on Sunday if anyone down West Gippsland way is interested. Tony G and family, and myself and family are going and expect it to be a big day. It is opened to car pre 1974 (chrome bumpers) so pack a picnic lunch andhead down to Cora Lynn sports ground on 9 mile rd Cora Lynn and join us for a nice relaxing day.

ps;   the weather is supose to be beautiful and if you need more info call me on 0432084846,

                 cheers Scott Mckenzie

Cora Lynn....hmmm never heard of it. Sounds like the car show could be a good event though so what is the best way to get there from Melbourne? And what is the nearest major town to Cora Lynn??

Cheers ...... Pete

Well what can I say??

The Cora Lynn Car Show was in 2 words....automotive heaven. :D The weather was absolutely FABULOUS with not a cloud on the horizon, the range of cars was awesome in not being restricted to Australian cars (also plenty of hotrods) and the atmosphere/vibe of the event was so relaxed and easygoing. In addition, I got to meet Scott and Tony and go into salivation drooling overkill on their FE/FC's. ;D

I also noticed there appeared to be a distinct lack of ego and formality throughout the event which made for a refreshing change from many a car show I have attended throughout the year. I can honestly say I found it 1000 times more enjoyable than Brocky's Big Day Out !!!

To all you Holden fans who didn't go, you really don't know what you were missing out on. I highly recommend this event to everyone and hope I see more of you all there at next year's Cora Lynn Car Show. Congratulations also to the 2 true believers from the FE/FC Club who walked away with trophies, you deserved it. :)

Pete

P.S - I couldn't help but also admire the F&#ds there :-X (admittedly I payed no attention to the Fal#$ns but drooled over the Customlines). I ended up drooling even more over the Valiants (only 2 there) till spittle ran off their duco !!! 8) 8)
