Just to stay on topic ;) ;) (http://tinypic.com/do8dmp.jpg) (http://tinypic.com/do8ebq.jpg) (http://tinypic.com/do8eo3.jpg) (http://tinypic.com/do8g7l.jpg) (http://tinypic.com/do8gh4.jpg) (http://tinypic.com/do8gp1.jpg) Very hard to get a decent pic of the ute, under trees! I'm off on the hunt again this weekend, I have 5 or 6 to see but I think they might be EH/EK's and HR's Fingers crossed for some FE/FC's Nick Title: Re: For the wreck lovers! Post by: craiga on September 14, 2005, 10:58:17 PM Keep them coming Nick, very interesting shots.
Its amazing that the real early stuff is still out there in reasonably complete condition considering the attraction of steel bodied and original chassis based hot rods. I know there doesn't seem much left, but its incredible that someone hasn't got to them before now. Good work. Cheers, Craig. Title: Re: For the wreck lovers! Post by: mcl1959 on September 15, 2005, 08:27:24 AM Early tin looks like Chrysler and Dodge tourers from about 1923 to 1926 ? Can you confirm makes.
These cars are not popular as rods and not rare enough for restorers. Hence they are still there Did you get any numbers for me Nick ;D Regards Ken Title: Re: For the wreck lovers! Post by: 20.4_seconds on September 15, 2005, 08:59:07 AM Will do this weekend Ken, no engine in the FE but I have sent you the ID tag details before.
Should I resend it to you :P I will get the Ute ones for ya also on the weekend. And where do I find a number or make on those two old wrecks, I never even thought to look ::) ::) Nick Title: Re: For the wreck lovers! Post by: ridgey_didge on September 15, 2005, 09:49:44 AM Gotta love the russett brown over cuban beige FE in the Collins Street photo. Exactly the colours of my baby, though looking a little tidier all those years ago.

Sweet pics. Love the FE in the shrub. Did you check out the heater in the ute? I think Ken is right, looks like 24 Dodge. What do you reckon? (http://www.roadgems.com/images/04photos/Wiblish24Dodge_04.jpg) The first 1 looks like it may be Buick to me. I would have dragged these home with me and started a cool Rat Rod by now. If you are trying to ID these cars and no badges, check out the wheel hub centers for logo....might help. Regards Alex Title: Re: For the wreck lovers! Post by: 20.4_seconds on September 15, 2005, 10:24:38 AM Hey Alex,
I wouldn't have a clue what model it was ;D but I will follow your instructions and find out. ;D As for the FE and UTE I remember they were some of the first ones I found and havent been back since, The Ute is actually in front of the FE!!! I didn't even see the id tag hanging off where the heater pipes went through the firewall. Come to think of it I didn't even think of looking at the heater(I have learned alot since then ;) ;)) I do know it has a some smiths gauges inside, another horn button and a few other bits....but these are spoken for already ::) ::) Will let ya know about the ID's and if your really interested in that first oldie PM me cos it's at my cousins and I'd say he'd be happy to get rid of it for a slab.
