Title: FC wagon in a movie Post by: ridgey_didge on September 04, 2005, 09:40:18 AM I went to see the movie "Look Both Ways" today. A b&w photo of an FC wagon appears in it as the camera scans across the family photos in a scene towards the end.
You just can't go anywhere without an old Holden popping up, even at the movies! Cheers, David Title: Re: FC wagon in a movie Post by: bob_hawke on September 05, 2005, 10:27:21 AM Theres a Frenzal Rhomb song in thier 'San Souci' album called 'looking good' and the opening lines are
"you took your 57 holden right across the nation.." no more mentions after that, lyrics are pretty strange but still funny to hear the mention. Title: Re: FC wagon in a movie Post by: fccool59 on October 20, 2005, 10:49:27 AM I have a couple of movies with Fe-FC holdens,
These are- Return home The cars that ate paris Love in Limbo Also I had summer city wich was filmed in catherine hill bay, it has the only other FC wagon the same colours as mine ive seen. The chopped yellow FE from return home is still getting around but has graphics on the side, this movie is from around 87 but was finally released early this year on dvd. unfortunately the car doesnt drive in the movie but they keep refering to the car claiming it did 12.25 on the quarter. there are some cool little comments about late model jap tin can cars and commodores, and a real cool seen in the beggining set in the 70's with a bunch of old holden hotties hanging out that give you a smile, also there is a main character who hoons around in a rough HD hottie right through the movie. I think when frenzal romb were touring about 10 years ago they had a add maybe in drum media that featured a cartoon of a FC with a surfboard on top and a girl standing next to it, I later saw this somewere else too. Ill have to ask my brother, he was a fan and even named his dog frenzal. If any one has any other movies I would be interested to know what they are. I have some songs mentioning old holdens but 1 I lost and cant seem to get again is "love in a fj" by daddy cool, it was made in 72 but wasn't released till 91 on the totally cool set, has any one got it? |
