Also found out today that HT also go in, so i guess there must be a few types compatible.

The questions are now,
- are these springs all the same height? and
- do they compress the same as HR springs?

No they are'nt, the SLR 5000 are obviously a V8 spring which has a longer free length ,plus thicker wire diameter, which results in a much higher spring rate, than a standard 6 cyl.

Usually if you have a 6 cyl, you would stick to a 6 cyl type of spring rate, just altering the lengths to get a required ride height..

I should add that although they are for a ht, the springs I ended up using were a Pedders type that were 265mm free length as opposed to about 305mm for stock, so obviously a lowered set, and quite a bit firmer than stock as well.
It was the third set I fitted to get things right for a not stock front-end etc.  ::)
