Title: Re: Coil Springs Post by: FC-225 on September 02, 2005, 09:20:44 AM No they are'nt, the SLR 5000 are obviously a V8 spring which has a longer free length ,plus thicker wire diameter,which results in a much higher spring rate,than a standard 6 cyl.
Usually if you have a 6 cyl, you would stick to a 6 cyl type of spring rate,just altering the lengths to get a required ride height.. AL Title: Re: Coil Springs Post by: sgo on September 02, 2005, 11:10:32 AM I should add that although they are for a ht, the springs I ended up using were a Pedders type that were 265mm free length as opposed to about 305mm for stock, so obviously a lowered set, and quite a bit firmer than stock as well.
It was the third set I fitted to get things right for a not stock front-end etc. ::) |
